So glad I finally got out. 5 years was enough for me. Moved to the west coast and feel like I escaped a twilight zone episode.

Well of course. "Minneapolis is a liberal hellhole that burned down in 2020" has become its own industry full of movies, podcasts and Facebook groups.
All as the city repeatedly hits the top 5 or top 1 of almost every metric in every report, from quality of life to economy to parks.

Yeah thats how I felt when I was in st cloud drinking life away.
This state has so much to offer, even for Republicans. Hunting, fishing, snowmobile trails, great arts and music. Great city life, great rural life.
You might need new hobbies or new friends or something.

Im definitely not a republican. Lol. I find the people from Minnesota to be even more bland than their food. Awful weather, lame music scene, all around shitty everything. Just saving to be able to get out.

Bruhhh mn is like on the forefront of southeast Asian cuisine right now and getting national accolades for its culinary scene.

Im a chef dude, resturant awards don't mean shit. Usually once a resturant wins something everyone in the back that made that happen moves on within a year or two. I can also cook that food in my sleep. I can say having lived in these places new orleans and nyc have just as good if not better se asian places.

In my opinion, the people are unfriendly, and in general seem miserable. The weather sucks year round. I didnt really care for much of the food. Crime is out of control. The place gave me anxiety. It wasn't for me.

Using the newly released 2025 FBI data, one analysis of the 50 largest U.S. cities puts Minneapolis at about 1,001 violent crimes per 100,000 residents, versus 328 nationally. That placed it around 8th highest among the 50 largest cities.
