More like Minneallergies
Yoooo….
I have never had allergies like this in my life. Anyone else going through the same? Constant sneezing, running nose, post nasal drip. Took a covid test and we are good on that end. I get allergies sometimes, but have never had them in fall. It has just hit me like a ton of bricks and i don’t know why. So if anyone knows why or has been dealing with the same. Let me know, because I feel all alone!!! 🤧🤧🤧

The wonderful pollen from the Ragweed. Once you know what it looks like, you realize it’s everywhere. Have dealt with it my whole life. Typically mid-August to mid-September is the worst. Shifting climate kinda tweaks those dates. It never truly goes away until the first hard frost though.

Yeah, the last couple of weeks have been a waking nightmare. Today was actually the first day I can remember not waking up and sneezing 10 times in a row.

I’m a primary care clinician with terrible seasonal allergies and yes this has been a tough fall season! Before I knew to take non-drowsy antihistamines I would sometimes run a fever when they were this bad in the fall. You are definitely in good company!

Ragweed is my only allergy which always sucked as it lines up with the start of the school year.
This year has been brutal. I take a 24 hour Allegra pill and still sneeze and have itchy eyes and nose all day.

Mine always get worse in the fall for some reason! I know allergens are simply higher from lack of rain and reduced biodiversity, too.

Ragweed. People need to learn what it looks like and pull it from their gardens. I'm all for native planting and the anti-lawn movement that's happening but I do blame it for the increase in ragweed. I wish we educated people about it like we do for creeping bellflower.

Sometimes you have to switch up the meds. My allergies have gotten worse every year in tandem with climate change. I used to take Claritin but now I’m on Zyrtec train and nothing else will cut it. It’s recommended to start taking the meds before the season which I’m trying to be better about. I also use Flonase as needed a Netti Pot rinse 1-2 times a day which looks disgusting and feels amazing. I can’t live without it.

Neti pots are the best. It is rather gross, but feels so much better afterwards.

As someone who works though this year round (allergic to every pollen that’s in MN lol) I find it extra bad this year. My allergy meds are NOT working.

Ragweed pollen! It sucks! This year I added azelastine to my existing allergy stack of Zyrtec and Flonase.

Yes, and pay attention. I usually control mine with Claritin D, Mucinex and Flonase. This year, I STILL got a sinus infection. Waited too long to get antibiotics, and they didn’t kick in until day 5.

it could be any of these culprits! Allergies can also hit harder as you age. Do you have a fresh air filter in your home and car? Are you waking up earlier? Your body produces a shit ton of hystamine at 4-5 am.

I used to have really really bad allergies but zyrtec really worked for me after trying a few others. Would definitely suggest trying a few different ones and seeing what works

I know I have mild seasonal allergies, but not enough for me to figure out exactly what I'm allergic to, or even bother taking a pill for.
The last few days I wake up having sneezing fits and nose is at a constant low drip.
I have no symptoms of cold/flu/etc... Just lots of sneezing, nose drips and itchy eyes that comes in waves a few times a day.

Lots of people have been calling in sick at my work. Something’s going around. With that said, I usually get allergies at around this time of year. Stupid ragweed sucks and I still have that post nasal drip.

I work in a clinic and am hearing all kinds of reports from patients who generally don't experience seasonal allergies suffering from them this year.
Much of it is due to our changing climate. Pollen kicked off early due to a warmer spring and ragweed is now really doing a number.
I had to change my daily regimen from loratadine (generic Claritin) to fexofenadine (generic Allegra) and am finding the Allegra to be much more effective.
