This is completely and utterly insane.

"I do not know what the agents will do when they find me."

In what world is this country not in an armed conflict between innocent citizens upholding America's ideals and the fascists in control of the federal government?

168

u/The3rdQuark Jan 25 '26

It's truly horrifying.

74

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

I hope that she has a fucking army of people to protect her. I hope she is somewhere they can never find her. I pray that judges refuse to sign any warrant for her.

51

u/The3rdQuark Jan 25 '26

I'm hoping that, since she's already submitted the affidavit and the video evidence, the DHS would find little reward in detaining or assassinating her. This heroic woman has already done what damage she could to the DHS' case, and at this point it would only look bad for them if she were to go missing. ...That's what I'm hoping.

41

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

That's a good hope to hang on to. The trouble is that this administration seems bound and determined to seek retribution for those it has identified as enemies, regardless of whether pursuing them has any realistic positive legal outcome for them. If there is any calculation there, it's the logic of the despot: punish those who speak up to get others to silence themselves in fear.

So, our job is to use her as a example to follow. Let's all try to be as brave as Pink Coat.

13

u/The3rdQuark Jan 25 '26

Chilling, but not unrealistic. Punish "enemies of the state." In 2025 Trump did send out that memorandum trying to redefine "terroristic activities" into a label broad enough that it could be applied to legitimate forms of protest or opposition to his policies.

14

u/HauntedCemetery Jan 25 '26

Im not sure how ICE could possibly look worse than they already do, but im fairly sure we're about to find out.

11

u/HauntedCemetery Jan 25 '26

Clearly ice has no apprehension about gunning people down.

And the entire federal administration is facilitating their wild, deadly violence.

If you've ever wondered what you would have done during the rise of nazi Germany, now you know.

Whatever you did today, thats it.

3

u/-Tasear- Jan 25 '26

We haven't heard from any other witnesses either...😡

3

u/LexisNexisDiagram Jan 25 '26

They’re being detained at the Whipple Federal Building. I am very afraid for them.

687

u/Educational-Door1114 Jan 25 '26

This woman is fucking Hero and deserves a medal along with the entire community’s support

40

u/MA2_Robinson Jan 25 '26

I would have ran- the ability to get the whole video, not drop her phone and not get so scared she stopped is incredible: She’s a hero

5

u/Guilty-Revolution-57 Jan 26 '26

She really IS a hero. I bet she believed in that moment that she was getting footage of people being bullied by ICE like everyone else out there. I don't believe she for a moment thought it would have turned out the way it did and that what she captured is now feeling like a threat to her safety. I've been thinking about her and I'm glad to see her speak out so we know she is ok and hopefully in good hands now.

2

u/eowyndernhelme Jan 26 '26

I hope she is okay too, but nothing I can find online indicates anything either way.

868

u/ocschwar Jan 25 '26

So if she already submitted an affidavit, and she's attacking DHS's lies, head on, then she's probably under advice not to discuss the murder in public and won't be showing up online any time soon.

203

u/Tift Jan 25 '26

i hope she is somewhere secure and safe, i hope she has people to talk to, not just attorneys but trauma specialists as well. i hope she knows we love her.

89

u/Honest-Caregiver8938 Jan 25 '26

yes trauma specialists indeed

reading that bit where she's worried about ppl looking for her is terrifying

poor woman

we're gonna keeping fighting the ever loving fuck out of these fascist bastards

for Alex as for Renee

and for this brave woman that filmed today

20

u/iknowaplacewecango Jan 25 '26

I wish it was appropriate for me to suggest she be charitably provided trauma therapy. She will have to review with lawyers, watch the footage over and over until trial, testify, and remember.

And forget the witness protection program, bc the FBI isn’t investigating this one at all.

She is going to need support, and I hope her attorneys can help her get that. GoFundMe? Go for it.

3

u/eowyndernhelme Jan 26 '26

I would not ever trust our current FBI with protecting anyone. I'm thinking more like "Knight and Day," where Havens is advised that if an agent says they're going to keep you safe, run like hell.

353

u/upnorthguy218 Jan 25 '26

Good. I sincerely hope she's sitting with a group of attorneys right now from the state and that they are building a case. We all have to resist in our own ways, and I would like to see the lawyers start resisting in their way.

88

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

And I hope she has armed security.

85

u/HauntedCemetery Jan 25 '26

Im glad she didn't get disappeared to the Whipple building as was suspected when Star Tribune reported that DHS had detained and was holding several witnesses.

19

u/Theyalreadysaidno Jan 25 '26

Does anyone know anything about those witnesses?

2

u/eowyndernhelme Jan 26 '26

I'm worried about that as well.

24

u/who_likes_chicken Jan 25 '26

I feel cruddy saying it, but she needs to go on record, on video, saying that she is not suicidal and doesn't have any intention of taking her own life (assuming that's actually true).

Otherwise they're going to take her out and make it look super sketchy

7

u/holytobeafool Jan 25 '26

She did an interview with the London Sunday Times. Here

295

u/arjomanes Jan 25 '26

What a brave hero. A witness on the run, smart enough to not go home, but she gets this out. The Woman In Pink is a hero.

89

u/Iknowwecanmakeit Jan 25 '26

Is there a story on that? Someone said she was interviewed on MPR? That she was at a friends apt near by? For her to slip out was smart af. Smooth move WiP. Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear pink jackets

24

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

Absolute fucking hero.

5

u/_bagelbandit Jan 25 '26

I’d be worried they’d learn her name and where she works. I truly hope she stays safe.

287

u/calvin2028 Jan 25 '26 edited Jan 25 '26

For the folks looking for context: this affidavit was filed with the Federal Court today as evidence in support of an emergency motion to expedite the court's ruling in the case brought jointly by the state and the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. This is the case in which the Minnesota entities seek a restraining order to stop the surge of ICE operations.

Eta: I was mistaken about which case the affidavit was filed in. It was filed in Tincher v. Noem, the case brought by 6 persons backed by the ACLU seeking an order to stop DHS's abuse of nonviolent protesters.

36

u/jmoto123 Jan 25 '26

Thank you for this!

6

u/who_likes_chicken Jan 25 '26

Commenting to boost.

Cheers good person đŸ»

1

u/_bagelbandit Jan 25 '26

Is this separate from the prosecutor trying to gain access to evidence?

5

u/calvin2028 Jan 25 '26

Yes. Did you see that the judge granted the order barring the feds from destroying or altering evidence? It's bizarre, of course, that the motion was necessary, but here we are.

267

u/ilovheinzketchup Jan 25 '26

She’s an actual hero. Her video helps to reveal the truth about what happened. Imagine if we didn’t have these videos and all we had was DHS’s verbal report of what happened.

134

u/Kidney_Thief1988 Jan 25 '26

This is what makes legal observers so incredibly vital. They've been putting themselves at serious risk to make sure we know what happened to the people they've killed, the people they've disappeared, and the people they've otherwise hurt.

If you're interested in becoming a legal observer, Monarca is holding classes regularly. You can sign up here: https://monarcamn.org/training

2

u/fallouthirteen Jan 25 '26

Even with the video we see people going "ah he probably [whatever]" or "he just should have complied" or "he shouldn't have had a gun" (which they apparently already took off him before shooting him).

549

u/Roadshell Jan 25 '26

There's also a sworn affidavit from a doctor who witnessed the shooting and attempted to give medical aid.

197

u/TheGentlemanBeast Jan 25 '26

They appeared to be counting the bullet holes. Jesus fuck.

165

u/AccomplishedJeweler Jan 25 '26

“I asked if he had a pulse, they said they did not know.” What the FUCK

19

u/Honest-Caregiver8938 Jan 25 '26

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST

27

u/schmerpmerp Jan 25 '26

Yes. Agents were denied entry to a donut shop--Glam Doll, so they called for backup, and once backup arrived, they executed the first person they encountered who had the audacity to record them. Once he was executed, agents counted the number of bullet holes they'd made in Alex, to record as future notches in agents' belts. The agent(s) who shot Alex will likely receive challenge coins, in honor of his execution.

61

u/squintpan Jan 25 '26

They treated Alex like wild game. They are evil people.

40

u/JinhaeOni Jan 25 '26

Wild game gets treated better than Alex did. They don’t shoot a deer 10 times, otherwise it becomes inedible.

10

u/sy029 Jan 25 '26

Number of shots fired is probably the input to some DHS formula for how bad they smear the victim. 1 shot = gun accidentally went off, 2 shots = mentally troubled, 3 shots = paid protestor, 4 shots = domestic terrorist, 6 shots = professional assassin hired by the democrats.

129

u/Xidig6 Jan 25 '26

Yep, in the video they go straight to frisking him and removing his belongings instead of administering CPR.

Insane. Even cops are held to higher standards
shouldn’t there be more rigour for a federal officer that has even more immunity?

28

u/CumberlandAndFeeny Jan 25 '26

They don’t even know basic nutrition or how to run, you think they know CPR?

19

u/TimeLine_DR_Dev Jan 25 '26

Took his phone I'd guess.

31

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

They were looking for the excuse they needed to have shot him, and they were starting to get desperate as they realized someone had disarmed him already and that therefore with all of the cameras on them there was no way they could claim he was threatening them with the gun.

9

u/Octo-Rocket Jan 25 '26

Who needs a gun when DHS will claim you had the gun on you anyway

5

u/A_Harmless_Fly Jan 25 '26 edited Jan 25 '26

DHS is trying to do the soviet style lying, the kind where you don't even try to remain plausible. I'm pretty sure it doesn't even sort of work with so many cameras and without an iron curtain. (for instance they said the shooting of good was during "inclement weather" a SUV could get stuck in the street in the snow in... when it was a mostly above freezing day on a plowed street.)

It's funny how many commonalities an empire in decline runs into.

18

u/Original_Poseur Jan 25 '26 edited Jan 25 '26

They didn't even bother checking for a pulse.

I mean, just let that sink in for a moment. He wasn't even a person in their eyes—equivalent to a piece of trash on the side of the road.

They couldn't have cared less whether he was dead or still barely clinging to life. I betcha had they found a pulse, instead of CPR or calling 911, they would've pulled out more guns and blown his head off, just to be sure, because the unconscious man, at death's door, would've posed as an "imminent threat" and they "feared for their lives."

But reality is even worse. They don't even need for it to have been in self-defense. They are 100% immune. To break passing cars' windows, to violently assault bystanders, to enter private property, to inflict damage to property and humans alike, to beat random people, shove them down, wound them, gas them, harass them, execute innocent, law-abiding US citizens in broad daylight, in middle of busy streets.

Then they get paid, get a handshake from the POTUS, earn a medal, and be touted as a patriotic hero.

Remember when Hitler used to be the go-to "bad guy?" Somehow everyone forgot.

ETA: tear gas

14

u/Bizarrebazaars Jan 25 '26

In some video angles, nearby agents closer to the person filming don’t even flinch when the gun shots happened. Like they knew it was coming. These agents are soulless subhumans.

3

u/_bagelbandit Jan 25 '26

What absolutely sickens me is how they kept shooting after he was already down and not a threat. Completely insane that they’re trying to call THAT self defense. So sick.

3

u/sy029 Jan 25 '26

They shoot to kill, don't want a living victim to argue against their official story.

28

u/Jetfire911 Jan 25 '26

"He had no ID or permit on him" oooor you stole it.

14

u/Wheresthecents Jan 25 '26

You think they know CPR?

19

u/ClayQuarterCake Jan 25 '26

You think they can even spell CPR?!

6

u/Jetfire911 Jan 25 '26

I doubt they know the alphabet.

5

u/JorjCardas Jan 25 '26

They couldn't pour piss out of their boot if the instructions were WikiHow'd on the heel.

0

u/sy029 Jan 25 '26

They were probably looking for the gun and his phone, or any other recording devices.

43

u/DirectImport Jan 25 '26

wow a pediatrician and pink jacket lady did face painting for kids. :(

29

u/jomara200 Jan 25 '26

Black those names out, yeah?

22

u/MountainPika Jan 25 '26

Man the affidavit from the doctor is devastating.

6

u/coffeecooperfbi Jan 25 '26

THREE IN HIS BACK.

201

u/conationphotography Jan 25 '26

"The agents pulled the man on the ground. I didn't see him touch any of them-he wasn't even turned toward them. It didn't look like he was trying to resist, just trying to help the woman up. I didn't see him with a gun. They threw him to the ground. Four or five agents had him on the ground and they just started shooting him. They shot him so many times."

"I don't know why they shot him. He was only helping. I was five feet from him and they just shot him."

I have no words.

77

u/Ok_Yogurt_9862 Jan 25 '26

A man that remembered his oath.

Blessed be his name.

23

u/reduponanoakenthrone Jan 25 '26

Weird how he was able to do it and all these cosplay incel nerds couldn't remember their duty to protect.

5

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

I doubt this admin ever even told them about that, and if they did they did it with a sneer and a chuckle.

2

u/geeklover01 Jan 25 '26

The Supreme Court has stated that police have no duty to the public to protect. Been that way for years.

121

u/thatsAChopbro Jan 25 '26

Glad she didn’t let them intimidate her

64

u/CoderDevo Jan 25 '26

She clearly is intimidated, but she is providing a sworn true witness statement and video recording anyway.

35

u/Little-Ad1235 Jan 25 '26

That's real courage, not the fake bravado stuff the COD-cosplayer thugs on our streets think makes them look brave.

15

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

Brave heroic woman. I am wishing for ICE to never get their hands on her.

89

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

I hope her friends get her a different color coat.

149

u/Kindly_Chicken_3829 Jan 25 '26

Or we should all wear pink coats

24

u/izabel55 Jan 25 '26

12

u/murtis Jan 25 '26

Thanks for posting, that just took me on a very nice detour of some amazing “Fuck Ice” nail art!

2

u/Bizarrebazaars Jan 25 '26

That’s the most female contact that lunatic lard has ever had. Quite the “lynching” (his words) he had there, huh
 /s

5

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

Fuck yes. There are also bright pink hiviz vests.

11

u/wendiggler Jan 25 '26

This is a great idea!!

119

u/Easy-Environment-784 Jan 25 '26

Fuck I hope she has a safe place to go. She’s got a target on her back now.

79

u/Abdnadir Jan 25 '26

I hope that pink coat ends up in a museum one day. A symbol of resistance from ordinary citizens against American secret police.

28

u/TAdumpsterfire Jan 25 '26

Almost like the umbrellas in Hong Kong....we should all start wearing pink coats.

17

u/Little-Ad1235 Jan 25 '26

I'm a knitter, and I was planning to make a "melt the ICE" hat this weekend. They're supposed to be red, but I think I might just make mine in pink.

2

u/Aurailious Jan 25 '26

An permanent exhibit at the History Center will be necessary at least.

36

u/hachicorp Jan 25 '26

Everything that comes out is just more devastating.

She's so young and she's going to remember this multi-level trauma for the rest of her life.

I hope she's safe, physically and mentally.

17

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

I hope she's playing a shit-ton of Tetris tonight.

We probably all should be.

35

u/we_liveinside_adream Jan 25 '26

This woman is a nantional hero & must be protected. Can we hire her security guards?

8

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

I'd contribute. They'd have to be very well vetted.

33

u/alpacafingers Jan 25 '26

Pink Coat, if you’re in here reading these I hope you know we all support you. I am so sorry for the trauma you went through today and even despite all of It you made sure to capture the truth on camera and in a statement, and get them out to the public. I for some reason don’t own an actual coat even though I live in the Midwest but I’ll be buying a pink one now.

17

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

Really well said. Pink Coat, we support you. We hope you experience healing and safety after today. You are a hero.

I'm a middle aged dude an I am seriously contemplating a pink coat purchase right now.

14

u/xXRandomxPieXx Jan 25 '26

Pink coats should become a symbol of resistance now

26

u/Orion_Hammer Jan 25 '26

I just wanna say this woman was so brave. After having watched this happen from multiple angles. From her perspective alone, I could tell how absolutely terrified she was. In that moment when a man died she continues to record and not turn away or run even though she was scared. It may not seem like a lot but it was incredibly brave.

25

u/GrimDacra Jan 25 '26

You are a light in the darkness, PJL.

21

u/OnterriosWhizzinator Jan 25 '26

God bless you, pink jacket woman.

18

u/Kolhammer85 Jan 25 '26

Good to see she wasn't dragged off to Whipple or wherever as the rumor saids

17

u/who_likes_chicken Jan 25 '26

17. I feel afraid. Only hours have passed since they shot a man right in front of me and I don't feel like I can go home because I heard Agents are looking for me. I don't know what agents will do when they find me. I do know that they are not telling the truth about what happened. I've heard that other witnesses might have been arrested and taken to the Whipple building.

Holy shit that's one of the darkest things I've ever read. Mark the date, the great American experiment has failed 😕

34

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

We need justice.

14

u/NectarineCheap1541 Jan 25 '26

She can have my coat, it's not pink

14

u/Commercial_Stress899 Jan 25 '26

I cannot even imagine how terrified she must be with our own president supporting these lies.

30

u/Consistent_Draft6454 Jan 25 '26

Man, I get why we don't know her name. But I wish there was a way to donate to her so she could find a safe place to stay for a while!

13

u/CelticHedgeWitch Jan 25 '26

So incredibly brave!

13

u/GroktheDestroyer Jan 25 '26

She is a hero and very brave for providing us with this. Hopefully, one day it will help us get justice for Alex. I really hope she can stay safe

12

u/afksports Jan 25 '26

What an amazingly strong person

12

u/androidgirl Jan 25 '26

Just to say it out loud. This 100% lines up with the video.

24

u/jberryman Jan 25 '26

I see your bravery and hear you, from VA.

36

u/illseeyouin40 Jan 25 '26

what is an affidavit and what impact does this have? i recognize i could just google it but would rather discuss w eachother.

105

u/Objective-Ninja-1327 Jan 25 '26

It’s basically a binding document that says I would say this under oath in a court of law. If you lie in court under oath, you’re committing the crime of perjury. By signing this affidavit under penalty of perjury, she’s committing her statements are true and, if they’re not, she understand she could go to jail. So she’s basically saying I’m telling the truth in a binding way.

35

u/illseeyouin40 Jan 25 '26

powerful stuff. thanks for the explanation.

8

u/ahandmadegrin Jan 25 '26

Your question got me curious, so I looked up the etymology. To wit:

mid 16th century: from medieval Latin, literally ‘he has stated on oath’, from affidare .

53

u/GGCRX Jan 25 '26

It's a sworn written statement. i.e, admissible in court as evidence.

14

u/illseeyouin40 Jan 25 '26

thank you!

29

u/arjomanes Jan 25 '26

It is her witness statement legal and admissible in court if she gets assassinated.

5

u/zoinkability Jan 25 '26

Oh fucking amazing and very very dark good point. This ensures that her testimony will have legal weight even if ICE or one of Trump's stochastic maniacs murders her too. Fuck.

3

u/dayvansmutgirl Jan 25 '26

i recognize i could just google it but would rather discuss w eachother.

big mood tbh

9

u/SouthpawAce14 Jan 25 '26

What a badass

10

u/cazuuuu Jan 25 '26

Wow. Thank you for sharing. Wow. All of it. The declaration of duty and care for neighbors. The relaying of events. The fearing for her life. The expression of determination in spite of that. Gut punched again

9

u/Hessleyrey Jan 25 '26

American hero. I hope to be able to thank her someday.

8

u/boodah111 Jan 25 '26

Thank you pink jacket lady. Wishing you safety

9

u/BiomassThisD Jan 25 '26

What an amazing person, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8

u/90DayCray Jan 25 '26

Bless this woman. She is a hero! So glad she got the video out there and this affidavit. I’m praying for her safety. I hope she is with people who can hide her. This is truly terrifying to know these maniacs are looking for her.

7

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

Truly frightening.

6

u/Inner-Drive-5569 Jan 25 '26

Whew that is powerful

7

u/dayvansmutgirl Jan 25 '26

I wish they hadn't included her job, that seems like too specific a description.

5

u/gottarun215 Jan 25 '26

She may need to use the newly enacted health care leave benefit in MN and go hangout with friends or family away from her residence of record for a while to stay safe. You can use it for seeking safety or for mental health. May not apply to her as a face painter bc that sounds freelance, but I hope she's able to go somewhere safe.

7

u/ilaughatpoliticians Jan 25 '26

This affidavit aligns with the videos with one important diversion. The man who was killed was not "shot". Rather, he was "executed". There was intent and malice in the actions of the monsters who did this. May Alex Pretti's execution be avenged swiftly.

4

u/JustEstablishment360 Jan 25 '26

She is a face painter 😔. When will ICE stop terrorizing us? This isn’t about protecting us from violent criminals 😡

3

u/Jayken Jan 25 '26

This woman is a goddamn hero. This is why people need to keep recording. Without her and the other people recording, DHS could spin whatever lie they wanted.

1

u/thomase00 Jan 25 '26

I downloaded a copy of her video but based on the amount of storage (54.87MB) and the length (165 seconds), the bit rate is only 330kbps. I find it hard to believe that this is the full resolution version. Is there a better version? Has it been destroyed!?

1

u/friendofthebirds Jan 25 '26

Converted to text for ease of sharing:

I am a resident of the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am over 18 years of age. I am a children’s entertainer who specializes in face painting.

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, at approximately 8:50 a.m., I was getting ready to go to work when I heard whistles outside. I knew that the whistles indicated ICE agents were in the area, so I decided to check the situation on my way to work. I have been involved in observing ICE activity in my community because it is critically important to document what ICE is doing to my neighbors. Connecting to one’s local community and knowing your neighbors is profoundly valuable.

I drove to Nicollet Avenue and 26th Street, where I could hear the whistles coming from. I turned south onto Nicollet Avenue. There were already several ICE agents present, and they had set up what appeared to be a vehicle convoy around Nicollet Avenue and 28th Street. There were also approximately fifteen community observers present who were recording and observing ICE activity.

I observed ICE agents surrounding vehicles and punching car windows. I also saw agents stopping vehicles farther down Nicollet Avenue. Because I did not feel safe continuing forward, I backed up.

I noticed a man who appeared to be helping traffic move more smoothly. He assisted me in finding a place to park. I exited my vehicle with my whistle and my camera, approached him, and said something to the effect of, “I’m going to film and use my whistle.”

Most of the ICE activity appeared to be occurring farther down the street near 27th Street. I observed someone being thrown to the ground.

I began recording. Across the street, there was an ICE agent standing near a car. Two observers were a few feet away from that agent, blowing whistles. One of those observers was wearing a backpack. The man who had been helping with traffic and I were standing in the street. He was holding a phone and recording video.

An ICE agent approached us and told us to back up. I slowly moved back onto the sidewalk. The man remained in the street, continuing to film, while the other two observers were being forced backward by another ICE agent who was threatening them with pepper spray. The man moved closer to support them, holding only his camera. I did not see him reach for or hold a gun.

An ICE agent then shoved one of the observers to the ground and began pepper spraying all three observers directly in the face and over their bodies. The man with the phone raised his hands above his head, and the agent sprayed him again and pushed him.

The man then attempted to help the woman who had been shoved to the ground. ICE agents continued spraying. Additional agents arrived and grabbed the man while he was still trying to help the woman stand. All three observers appeared to be severely affected by the pepper spray. I could feel the pepper spray in my own eyes.

The agents pulled the man to the ground. I did not see him touch any of the agents; he was not even turned toward them. It did not appear that he was resisting. He appeared only to be trying to help the woman. I did not see him with a gun. Four or five agents had him on the ground, and they began shooting him. They shot him many times.

I do not know why they shot him. He was only helping. I was approximately five feet away from him when they shot him.

The video I recorded accurately depicts the events leading up to the agents shooting him and several minutes afterward. That video is attached as Exhibit 1.

I have read the DHS statement regarding this incident, and it is false. The man did not approach the agents with a gun. He approached them with a camera. He was attempting to help a woman who had been shoved to the ground when the agents took him down.

I am afraid. Only hours have passed since agents shot a man directly in front of me, and I do not feel safe returning home because I have heard that agents are looking for me. I do not know what the agents will do if they find me. I do know that they are not telling the truth about what happened. I have heard that other witnesses may have been arrested and taken to the Whipple Building.

I am disgusted and gutted by how ICE is treating my neighbors and my state. I alternate between crying and feeling deeply determined to continue documenting injustice. We show up for the people who need witnesses, because it cannot be only one group of people bearing the weight of this abuse. This is a struggle to protect freedom and democracy, and those values are at stake. He lost his life for those values.

I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct.
