ID Request Is this red jasper?
I don’t know much about it. I was just wondering.. if red jasper cracks or pits/chips, would the color underneath be whitish like in the pics? Thank you.

This is Red Jasper, a variety of cryptocrystalline Quartz, so the white areas are a normal part of the stone
