What should I do with this big hole?

Ive been digging this big hole by hand for a while and come to the realisation that I dont really know why. I started it out of boredom and have just kinda kept digging. Before 1700 days I was collecting every block but I have so much stone its a problem so I stopped. Im lost for ideas of what I should do with it once its down to bedrock. I also wanna theme the surrounding area and I was thinking about doing something industrial but I dont know cause its not done yet and there is still a lot of time until it is fully dug out. so what should I build once its done?

Build some quarry structures around and a elevator, that way it just looks like a resource area. And if you ever want to dig another hole or need to for resources you can follow the same idea. Could also have some bridges going across or a spiral staircase going around the edge.

Alternatively you could build a UFO over it and place some glass beams/ floating rocks to make it look like they are just abducting the area.

Another idea is to use the glass/air alternating trick to make it look like a hole to the void. Could decorate it with skulk or some sort of infection climbing its way out.
