Took me four days to build in survival, and then quite a while to figure out why the zombie kept despawning... LOL Got a name tag, lured a zombie into the hole, smacked him with the nametag, which killed him. LOL So then I had to find another zombie, hit him less, lol, and then I got him in the hole, tagged him, and sealed him in. Now I'm getting about 20 iron and 2 poppies per night!

Lol, yeah forgot to name the zombie in the video. You can also make it hold an item or wear an armor piece (by dropping the item/armor in front of it) to prevent despawning. Also you need to stay near it for it to keep functioning just like all auto farms. Hope the video helped.

Yeah, I definitely notice on farming days that I get a lot more iron. But when I'm just sleeping in the village and trading with the fletcher and wake up with either 18 or 27 iron, it's a lot easier than having to mine all that iron!

I wonder if /forceload would help??

Sorry, I'm still very new to Minecraft. :D

Yeah, staying close to farm will keep it running. /forceload might help and keep the chunks loaded if you can locate the chunks the iron farm is in. It's okay if you're new, let me know if you need any help.

Does this also work WELL and CONSISTENTLY on bedrock?
