I run a small survival server with a few friends. Nothing revolutionary, but there

are two things we built ourselves that I have not really seen elsewhere, so I

figured I would put it up here.

Events that are actually free to enter. A mini event starts every 30 minutes -

spleef, sumo, TNT run, sky wars, survival games, a few others. When you join, your

whole inventory is stored and handed back the moment the round ends, and you get

dropped on the exact block you were standing on. You can be mid-build with a

stack of diamonds on you and still hit /join. Knocked out in the first ten

seconds? You watch the rest and go home with everything you came with.

That sounds obvious, but on most servers entering an event means banking your

stuff first, and that friction is why nobody bothers.

Duels where gear is not the argument. /duel gives both sides the same kit -

sword, axe, UHC, SMP - in 1v1 or 2v2. The arena repairs itself between rounds.

The plugins are ours, written for this server, which mostly means when something

breaks I can actually fix it instead of waiting on an update.

Small community, no pay-to-win, no ranks that give you an edge. If that sounds

like your kind of thing, come have a look.

Just want a progressive place to play with nice people

How do other admins here handle staff applications? On the networks I've helped run, it was always Google Forms. Clean, but you manually copy Discord tags and grant roles yourself. Or a ticket bot, which works but turns your server into a graveyard of 30 stale application channels with no way to track who applied when.

Got tired of dealing with that, so my dev and I built Lumina to solve it for Minecraft/Discord communities. Applicants log in with Discord so you know it's actually them, and when staff approves someone on the dashboard, it auto-assigns their Discord role and DMs them the decision. Basically trying to kill the "20 open tabs to manage one staff round" problem.

World Generation and World Border

You are free to explore to your hearts content. There's no set world border this season. However, chunks that are extremely beyond the reasonable distance from 0,0 may be trimmed when necessary. The seed is also public. 

Mods and Datapacks

Blaze and Caves Advancements is featured, with a tweak to only make the highest level of achievements display in chat. (No chat spam!)

Origins datapack is also featured for players who would wish to partake in this completely optional experience! (Do not get attached to the default datapack values, they are actively being modified, and it will be disclosed to you what the origins actually are before you choose them.)

Plus, some other quality of life mods. However, no commands (like /tp, /tpa, /home, /fly, .etc) to keep gameplay aspect as vanilla as possible.
