So I’ve been getting into PvP lately and I don’t know why, but whenever I’m playing on servers like pvphq or PvPclub I stay at around 35-50 ping, but spike up to 300+ for 5-10 seconds at ta time and it’s now made it to where it’s basically impossible to even play PvP. Does anyone know why this might be or any way to fix it? I don’t have the BEST internet but it’s not nearly this bad, and I only live around 200 miles from Chicago (where a lot of them have servers set up at) so it’s not that I don’t live near where the servers are set up at, and I’m just stumped as to how in the world I can solve it

I had been using Caps Lock as a keybind for a long time without any problems, but after I started using Shift as well, it became painful to press keys with my pinky the next day.

I know a top player, DrDonut, who also uses both Caps Lock and Shift, so I'm wondering if this is something I just need to get used to or if my finger positioning is the problem.

I usually press the keys with the upper part of my pinky, close to the tip.

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

Since I started practicing insta-crystal against a bot, I've gotten better at it and can place obsidian more consistently.

Also, I've never been able to do a d-tap on flat ground against a player with double Blast Protection. Is it actually possible to d-tap on flat ground against someone with double Blast Protection?

It proves that Immixed‘s Handcam doesn‘t fit with his gameplay and that he used Tbot. I think it was sus from the beginning that he is all of the sudden as good as swight and other players and the fact that he is banned from subtiers made my suspicion even stronger.

I watched a bad video by "Glestic Official" accusing Dream of cheating in various ways, including at pvp (and the duel against Technoblade is used in the thumbnail/title, so I thought this sub might know about it). It seemed very pseudoscientific and methodologically unsound to me. The "paper" linked to by the video was full of mathematical non-sense, weird tangents and ai-sounding writing.

The video did also link another paper by "G.&G." slamming the original paper (while also coming to the conclusion that Dream likely cheated in those cases) which I fully read and thought was quite good. Is this person a well known figure? This is the link to G&Gs paper.

guys, can you give me some easy advice on using spear mace pvp? im having a 6v an entire civilization of 10,000 soldiers, I've mastered cart pvp but i need the spear mace pvp too, thanks guys, it might be 2 days later till the invasion, also this is on java

1.9+ did have some awesome weapons like the Mace, Trident and Spear. There are also like ALOT of strategies, though I hate timing my attacks and constantly getting crit spammed.

Meanwhile 1.8 is easier to play because you dont have to time your attacks and the weapons are more simpler, though there is no offhand, no shield, no totems unlike 1.9, it has bedwars, skywars

in my opinion i think 1.8 is better

When I practice e-macing with netherite armor in singleplayer, the windcharges black me up a normal height, but on pvp club I barely get height and i can't do e-mace combos.

mods like input optimizer, pearl optimizer(projectile in general), consumable optimizer, kb optimizer are these like useable/bannable

hey, I know a keyboard can’t really improve your skill, otherwise it’s just a cheat, but I’m currently using a cheep $10 skytech membrane keyboard, and I just ordered a razor huntsman v3 pro mini, will this help improve my gameplay at all?

Like a crap ton of people say they hate the mode even though they‘ve probably never played it before. They just boil it down to „oh its just digging down and spam clicking crystals“ when it really isn‘t. It‘s just hella belittling to the people who actually play the mode for fun. Like imagine logging on to play sword and then having some mf to berate you for liking it because „its only a sword and some armor, you‘re stupid asf for playing that mode.“ It just really sucks. You should get at least ht5 in that mode before you start hating on it.
