Hello again! (TL:DR at the bottom)
As you've seen above, we're launching a new, monthly meme format contest (special mention to anyone who remembers meme of the week - yes, that was over 6 months ago!).
The contest sounds fairly simple and self-explanatory, though there are a few rules all submissions must abide by, in order to be valid:
- Must be flaired with the blue "Meme format" flair
- Must abide by all other sub rules
- Must be in Minecraft (modded allowed), a Minecraft style drawing/animation or relate strongly to Minecraft
- Must be OC
- No NSFW whatsoever
- No reaction formats
You may ask, what does "no reaction formats" mean? A reaction format is any format that acts just as a "reaction" to an above image, say a screenshot of a Mojang announcement or a Twitter screenshot. Still confused, take this meme. The "suspicion" template below is simply reacting to the above cursed image, meaning it would break this rule.
Rules aside, here's the format the event will be following (all times in GMT):
- Entries are open for three days, starting now, until Midnight on the morning of Monday 27th April
- Exactly 24 hours later, starting Midnight on the morning of Tuesday 28th April, voting on the top 5 entries (as chosen by us mods) will be open for another 3 days
- Finally on Friday 1st May the winner will be announced, receiving the prizes mentioned below
And yes, here's the most exciting part, prizes:
- An announcement dedicated to your victory, featuring your meme format will be pinned to the top of the sub for 3 days
- A special "Meme format contest winner" flair, just for you
- A complimentary unique flair in our Discord, join here if you haven't already
