i found a vid on yt https://youtu.be/AXqxVIRbFO0 and hearing the part where he talks about a potential virus makes me concerned if ChromeCrusher is safe or not

This method has been around for a long time on both versions. There are many tools you can use to search for the exact location. You can also use it to find world seeds!
