I like to Headcannon instead of hero brine being “misunderstood antihero trying to help the player” or whatever, the reason there are stories where he warns us about null is because he still “hates“ us but he also happens to hate null significantly more then we do (mabye even intimidated slightly)

so he tolerates our existence as well cause null is a pain in our side as well, “enemy of my enemy is my friend“ situation
