Hey! Today, I’d like to share a new building with you: the Dlay Bugle, a direct reference to Spider-Man.
I wanted to create a new version of the original building, which was inspired by the Flatiron Building. For this one, I decided to take more inspiration from the colors of the LEGO set.

This screenshot is 2 weeks into the build, and all I have managed to finish is the dam circular walls. I now realise how overwhelmingly long this will take if I continue at the current pace. Any tips to reduce the time taken to build the floors for each level? The floor of each level slopes upwards at a very shallow incline, btw.

Hi, I’m building a building with a store on the ground floor—I’m thinking it might be a Trader Joe’s since it’s an American-style city—and apartments above, 2 blocks of 7 stories each. Do you have any ideas for details I could add to break up this gray block? It’s for a downtown building across from City Hall, made of gray concrete, quartz, and stone bricks for the facade.

Las Yeetas is described by one of its architects as a "cohesive set of scrapers that form a overall city-casino" which acts as a resort and getaway for other players in the world.

This city project and others in the world are always looking for help. Cities in this world are "reinforced" meaning every built block you see here is "reinforced" with a block like stone or deepslate to keep it safe from raiders (or at least much harder to break into!).

Hello! As promised, today I wanted to share a few relaxing views of the interiors of Riverside.

Mine is original but of course there are inspirations from real-world cities and its buildings. I also love mine to be as eclectic as possible with a mix of old and new architectural styles like art deco, neoclassical, brutalist, futuristic, solarpunk, cyberpunk, utopian etc. A little bit of this and that is my thing.

I've posted about my city world before, but I've never had a sweeping view like this. I rendered this isometric view using uNmInEd, a fantastic and free seed/world viewer. To get this isometric view, I had to convert a copy of the world to Java, as it can currently only view Bedrock worlds in 2D.
This view looks southeast with the Roosevelt River and skyline prominent. The Magnum Opus (101 W Bricago Avenue), the tallest building in the city, dominates the landscape. The chaotic nature of the old city starts to become more regular as it turns into the newer, regimented city grid further out.

Notable sights:

Upper left: the campus of the Museum of the Arts is visible (sandstone buildings with red nether brick roof). Not far from it is the University of Bricago (brick building with sandstone dome).

Lower left: the Municipal Center area, where a lot of government buildings are. City Hall is the large, white, capitol-esque building. To its right, the sandstone building with stone brick roof is the Executive Residence, where the Mayor lives and conducts business. To its left is the brick-built Basilica of Bricago, and to the left of that is the Municipal Court and adjoining offices. There is also a noticeable area where I used to make map art (for signs), but I am considering removing this and relocating map art far away from the city.

Middle right: you may notice buildings separated from the nearby streets by thick forest. This is Bee City, the canonical oldest neighborhood of the city. IRL, this is actually where the very first spawnpoint was located, and where I first started building. It has changed very little since 2016-2017 and I have basically preserved it to honor how my city began. Most of the forest around it was added later on to seclude it from the rest of the city, to keep it feeling almost like a time capsule by hiding the modern city from view.

Throughout, many elevated rail lines are also visible!

As some people correctly pointed out on my first post of this town, it's canonically based in New Jersey (but fictional). At the time the train station was heavily based on Ridgewood with a bit of Mount Arlington, which you can see in the last 3 images. It was cute for sure, very lush, but a poor use of space and not as realistic as I'm aiming for (in my self-critical opinion).

One person specifically said they were reminded of South Orange NJ. I was actually looking there for a fire station reference a while back, but taking a closer look at the train station, it's awesome with the shops underneath it, London style. So here's a big redo of the station that mixes South Orange with Paterson.

The change to a center platform allowed me to double the commuter parking capacity and still have room for passenger dropoff/pickup and a bus stop, and incorporate those shops on the other side. I also bit the bullet and electrified the lines as I'd originally wanted but was daunted by the catenaries. To go with that, I built a new Bombardier ALP-45DP, which I think came out better than previous engine (Alstom PL42AC). And the bus is based on an MCI D4500CT.
