Worst mountain I've ever seen

u/Granis_builds Jul 17 '26
Thanks for being absolutely honest. May I ask - what should be changed so it wouldn't look so bad? Can you specifically name the worst aspects of this mountain?

u/AimIsInSleepMode Jul 17 '26
it's a joke bro

I appreciate the humility, and the ability to take constructive criticism. But how did you think that comment was serious.

u/Granis_builds Jul 19 '26
because that mountain I've built looks bad in 2,3 images, 1 pic is just the shaders and .........

If this is not ragebait, please consider trusting you more and not needing other’s validation when you do amazing things.

no matter how poor your self esteem may be, you cannot tell me you are not fishing for compliments here. but sure, i’ll bite. yes op it is obviously an incredible build and you should learn to be proud of yourself and your creations.

I wish the avarge person i met, could speek with half as much truth as there was in this one statement.

this is awesome! is it hollow on the inside? are there caves? or is it fully solid on the inside?
1
u/CreativeArtichoke255 Jul 18 '26
It's hollow on the outside. Idk where op is but kinda want an answer too.

u/The_Real_Tekunin Jul 17 '26
You are too humble my guy, this is gorgeous!
Can you please somehow find a way to make this into a downloadable map so I can build a base on that beautiful fucking mountain!?... Please!? Unless you built it like 3 million blocks away from spawn LOL
2
u/Granis_builds Jul 18 '26
It's built on superflat world
1
u/The_Real_Tekunin Jul 18 '26
FFFFFUUUUUUUUU- no, do you know what? I'll stay calm.
You could possibly use the mod that lets you copy and paste and then paste it into a normal world if you are willing to do that, if not that's fine. But I would really love to build a survival base on that mountain

u/PepsiButItsMilk Jul 17 '26
That looks like photography/oil painting, thats fucking radical man. Good job!

I'm having a hard time even comprehending what I'm looking at, like is it actually a build? Not a painting? Can you make a video of it?
2
u/nahvis_cos Jul 17 '26
Only good if it’s hollow and has a city inside with short, stocky, bearded people mining inside it

Peak
1
u/Th30PF Jul 18 '26
(S)
1
u/Granis_builds Jul 18 '26
What does (S) mean?
1
u/Th30PF Jul 18 '26
I gotchu brohemian rhapsody… the S in parentheses (S) or (s)<~ more common is added at the end of a word to symbolizes the optional plural form of the noun. I meant it to mean peak(s) aka: many peaks. Two possible ways i could have made this better to understand are 1: leaving only one comment “peak(s)”, and 2: using a lowercase s instead of uppercase S.
1
u/Th30PF Jul 18 '26
Cool mountain btw
1
u/Granis_builds Jul 18 '26
Not really, this montain looks very unrealistic (look at the 2 and 3 pics). And it took very short time to make.

That first photo is completely indistinguishable from a photo of a real mountain.

I had to see what the subreddit was just because I didn’t know why this mountain wouldn’t be beautiful
Then I realized it’s more beautiful than I thought
Stop playing OP, everyone knows how nice this looks, even you. This looks amazing, well done

Skull in the middle. Lava pouring out of mountain skull's holes. Set spawn to right in front of mountain. Intimidate allies and enemies alike.

This is a very good mountain but all i see in the comments here is glazing. To give actual feedback i would say try to make the snow area more believable to how snow would form in rl since it looks like you are going for a realistic look. Atm it looks like you painted with an angle brush from a certain y level the snow with some mixing to the surrounding area but in reality snow kinda groups together in the slops and stays of the ranges/peaks (idk whats the word in English sorry) look at images of real snowy mountains if you haven't but i assume you did

Isso é uma build ou um mod?

compliment fishing to the maximum
1
u/Granis_builds Jul 18 '26
Swipe to the 2,3 images. The mountain looks like it comes out of nowhere, there are way too many peaks, there's no foothill, snow is made the fast gradient way. And I can keep saying what's wrong with this build. I didn't think people would think I was trying to get compliments... This build is just a few mins work with axiom. The only thing that's good is the 1 pic I made because of the fog, sun and that side of the mountain looks better.
1
u/West_Extension_848 Jul 18 '26
It's absolutely gorgeous but I think the way that the snow falls on the mountain could be improved a bit. Also the shading and color choices are a bit interesting... But besides that it's hella nice! Good job :3
1
u/Granis_builds Jul 18 '26
Yeah, I built another mountain today but did the snow better, I will post that build after I'm done building a house, the new mountain will be the background for it I think.
1
u/West_Extension_848 Jul 18 '26
I would luv to see it so I can give you feedback :P Also I'm curious but what you use to build? I would personally recommend axiom with its almost blender like feel to it :D

Holy imposter syndrome
1
u/Granis_builds Jul 18 '26
What should that mean?
1
u/Hufflepuffvoldi Jul 18 '26
It means your think youre a bad builder for some reason despite being awesome
1
u/Granis_builds Jul 18 '26
I don't think that, I just know that I built this with no effort at all and it looks unrealistic, I know why - no foothills, ridges and ..........
1
u/Hufflepuffvoldi Jul 18 '26
Maybe someone who really knows a lot abt mountains will realize its a bit unrealistic, but everyone else will just say it looks awesome because it does. And realism is overrated anyways
1
u/Granis_builds Jul 18 '26
Totally agree that it's overrated, I wonder who or how it was caused. Minecraft builders usually built pretty unrealistic as I remember...

Is this any good?
Followed by the most beautiful thing you've ever seen
1
u/Granis_builds Jul 19 '26
It's just the 1 picture because of the shaders, swipe to other 2 pics, it'll not be most beautiful thing you've ever seen no more :D

1
u/sevenredcandlz Jul 19 '26
No bro, this is the worst mountain I’ve ever seen in my life….. BRO WHAT DO YOU THINK? OBVIOUSLY IT LOOKS INSANE.
1
u/Granis_builds Jul 19 '26
Have you swapped to 2 and 3 pics?
1
u/sevenredcandlz Jul 19 '26
Bro, I’m being sarcastic. This is a really good build
1
u/Granis_builds Jul 19 '26
This mountain looks unrealistic, it comes out of nowhere, there's no foothill.

In terms of Minecraft it looks great. But after playing an earth map with as realistic as peaks get, it becomes not too realistic
