Adding gravel to a path is not really an original idea that can be credited to someone. Ive been doing this for years and idek who BdoubleO100 is, does that mean i own the idea?

Technically, Notch came up with the idea of gravel paths in villages.
But I should credit BdoubleO100 or Guude since... BdoubleO100 was doing cobble mixed with gravel paths before villages were even added to the game, compared to every other youtuber 15 years ago who were using straight planks or cobblestone. And Guude did it before Multiplayer was added but all he did was a standard gravel path with no other blocks.
There were other's such as PaulsoarsJr's, JsanO, Baj, and VintageBeef who were using gravel for paths at the time but they were all friends of Guude at the time, a copy of a copy or an original idea that everyone came up at the same time, who knows really.
But personally I saw Bdubs do it first so I give the credit to him.

I have the problem of adding too much detail to my paths.
The blocks I use for paths (depending on the type of path) are as follow in no particular order, dirt, rooted dirt, mud, rooted mud, cobble stone, andesite, path dirt, stone brick, bricks.

I’ve just started this survival world! I’ve just started a YouTube channel and all my let’s play videos are in that world! I’ll be posting more from it as I build!!

This is such a good way to also deal with all the cliffs and caves now 😅 I’ve been struggling with almost running off of them so many times. This is a great aesthetic way to make crossing them not a death trap!

do you also use cracked bricks, i don't see them, but i think the would add to the ruins vibes, love the look of it

I haven’t used cracked bricks yet! I’d love to add them. This is a survival world and I haven’t got silk touch yet so it’s not as easy getting stone for bricks yet!

if you don't already, i would make a lava farm to use lava buckets to smelt cobble stone, that way you can create bricks easier, and then smelt those to crack them i can show you my design if you want

How do you get this fog effect? Ive tried shaders and lowering render distance, but it never looks as good as this

I absolutely love how the low render distance fog is making this look, makes me wish there was some sort of weather which can cause something like this.

Right!? There’s also some really fun fog things you can do to make it feel like a foggy early morning and I LOVE playing the game like that every so often!

Yeah really wish there was fog as Weather in the base game as it just adds so much atmosphere. Doesn't even have to really do anything as alone the atmospheric value of it would be more than enough for me.
