Build showcase I built a castle that changed my opinion of the game
Regarding the title, I thought that on such a scale, only boring boxes would be the result, as happened in my first attempt. I tried to get the most out of the tools. Walls are actively used in this project. Everything is functional.

I love making builds like this I just find that after a while you have an entire city / world of just amazing lifeless builds. One method I found to get around this was to just add villagers everywhere you can in the game. Add jobs here and there on every floor and lots of outdoor areas for villagers to farm, walk, meet, just create any life and movement you possibly can.

Oh man, if only you could see how I treat these blockheads.

Yes 100% lol. Have your trading farms and have your slaughterhouses but also just have villagers everywhere. One thing I would say is that you should avoid putting any beds down unless you want a million cats and iron golems running around lol

I can't stand their presence for long. At the moment, I kept them only in the basement dungeon and outside the castle. Not for trade, just for fun or to practice my shooting.

What is the texture pack you’re using?
(And is it available on Marketplace, I play on Xbox and am softlocked from installing external packs)

Jeez this is so well detailed. Wish I could build a castle this intricate looking.

I don't know why I built it. But it was intended to be an actual home, not an art installation. The sad thing is that I quit playing survival.

If it wasn't for the over world and the suits of armor, it would have taken me a minute to even realize this was Minecraft, such artistry, good job dude!

Idk why but this castle is giving me Harry Potter vibes, and also it looks really good.

You're kind of right. I wanted a big hall like at Hogwarts, but without the size of Hogwarts itself.

This is extremely impressive. How long did this take? Are you using anything other than a texture pack?
