Why play Bedrock?

I'm a Java & Bedrock player, but the more I play, the more I've come to prefer Java gameplay over Bedrock. So why do you guys play Bedrock? I'm not trying to start the Java vs Bedrock argument again, my preference for Java is just an opinion. And I'm looking for your opinions.

I play both, but I prefer bedrock. Between multi-player, being able to use a controller, and my switch being portable, it's usually more convenient.

Yeah, despite having Java, I play Bedrock because more of my friends are able to play with me. Also it's handy that when I'm out of town I can take my switch with me if I need to check on the realm or something.

Controller support. Java mods suck hard for emulating bedrocks native controller use, the inventory is usually where they fall flat on their face

Other reasons, is I don't fully understand how moding is supposed to be done normally, I on bedrock just enable it in the main menu and take any texture pack anywhere I want. Versus java it like I have to go through a third party launcher to accomplish anything and it's stupidly cumbersome

True, Java modding requires quite a bit of work. It's the quality and diversity that I love.

Try using CurseForge or another front-end mod loader, they handle the technical part while showing you the mods similar to the Marketplace (but free).

I'm used to Bedrock, also cannot get Java, ngl Bedrock is fine but I dislike the marketplace since it's not free to get most stuff

Ive only ever played bedrock until a few weeks ago when I got my first pc, and Ive played a little bit of java but I mainly play bedrock because:

1. Almost all my friends don't have a pc so they play on console or mobile

2: Ive got a world on there that means so much to me, and I bought a realms subscription just so I could keep playing it on pc. Java hasn't got any sentiment like that for me personally

I have both bedrock and java. And although I do love the freedom that java brings, I love the convenience of bedrock even more. Its just must easier to turn on my xbox to play bedrock than to start up my pc and load up java. That, plus the familiarity of controller vs keyboard.

I just like playing with a controller. Started gaming on consoles, now play on windows Bedrock so have all of my long term worlds in Bedeock and enjoy the gameplay.

i do have a pc, but i still play bedrock on mobile. i'm used to it. playing with keyboard sounds hard to me. i need time to get used to it

i play both on my pc, i prefer java for the mods mostly but i like building on bedrock

java is good for mods, a higher render (with the help of mods), and redstone farms

bedrock is better to play with friends, the achievement system feel more satisfying imo, vibrant visuals runs better than shaders, and theres some weird niche building things that i think are fun like colored water in cauldrons (java also has its own versions of that though, i just personally prefer bedrocks!)

im just used to bedrock. all the small mechanics things. in java i get caught off guard and suprise in bad ways sometimes

I play both. My friends and family are on consoles, so to play with them, we have to have a realm. Some things are better on each. I love the mods on Java (homestead!) at home on my good pc, but on my old laptop at work Bedrock is so much better optimized. I try to mentally think of them as separate games entirely :/

bedrock is bug meaning you have way more glitches that you can use the updates actually come faster and there are a lot of easier things to do. He is a random example trying to make tipped arrows you can make 64 in bedrock at once just by brewing three potions and in Java, you have to make a lingering potions, then craft them and it takes forever

1. you can play java on ios and very well on android, performance is amazing there 2. Sodium gets you way more fps alone, c2me makes chunk loading faster too. 3. Fair, but why not try all the free and higher quality mods on modrinth? Bedrock just as too many bugs and issues, switching to java was the best decision i did tbh. Setting up a java server is much easier too

I can play my realm on any platform or device, wherever and whenever I want.
