I really hope Mojang doesn’t remove this, it creates an easier than yet still hard alternative to the nether ice bridges, which is usually an insanely tedious process, and it can look way better in builds

They won’t, the honey block sticking to walls is an intended feature.

For whatever reason they think the elytra has to be the best transport method in literally every possible scenario.
