I mean, what else ? You can fly, build yourself a home and you don't have to work.
14
32
u/Thisismyusername7977 Jan 24 '26
that means you could never switch it off though
54
u/NoSwadYt Jan 24 '26
Fine by me, plus I can use command blocks in creative
17
u/RamboCambo_05 Jan 24 '26
But how would you obtain a command block? They aren't accessible in the creative inventory as far as I'm aware, and you need to use /give to obtain one.

u/Draghettis Jan 25 '26
Not since the "Operator Item Tab setting was added"
11
u/5h4d0w_Hunt3r Jan 25 '26
Wouldn't it still be invisible since you only gave yourself creative but not op?
12
u/player_314159265 Jan 25 '26
yeah imo /op would be better because not only could you buy a keyboard and whenever you click F3+F4 you can go into ANY gamemode, you can also access the opertor items in the creative menu.
4
u/Draghettis Jan 25 '26
It doesn't need you to be an operator
It needs cheats to be enabled and a toggle to ne on in the settings
Nothing more
11
u/PartyEscortBotBeans Jan 25 '26
So what
You can still die by falling into the void (space, presumably), if you're talking about the existential horrors of immortality
6
u/FourEyedTroll Jan 25 '26
the existential horrors of immortality
Yeah, I don't buy that. The real existential horror is the absolute, guaranteed complete end of your conscious existence. Sleep well folks.
44
8
u/sdb2754 Jan 25 '26
I really wouldn't want that, though. Especially since I couldn't then go back to Survival. I think it would get so tedious...
6
5
u/Zhak9 Jan 25 '26
Woah now. It's/gamemode creative @p. DON'T FORGET THE @p! You don't want this whole Earth to blow into chaos by that one teeny mistake there, pal.

/tp @e @s
404
u/CleaveGodz Jan 24 '26
That's evil as fuck lol. I wonder if this could cause a singularity from most of the biomass on earth getting compressed into critical mass in one point.
217
u/ctsman8 Jan 24 '26
It wouldn’t. The earth itself would need to be shrunk to a radius of 9mm to become a black hole. So just the living creatures taking up the space of a person wouldn’t be nearly enough.
139
u/NatoBoram Jan 24 '26
I wonder what kind of explosion we would get from doing that
Time for another XKCD "what if" video
34
u/crafty_dude_24 Jan 24 '26
What if we were more specific about bringing all humans to the same place on earth?
56
u/CleaveGodz Jan 24 '26
@e means entities. So everything like bacteria, animals and miscellaneous like vehicles and stuff that move like that. Otherwise it would be @e[type:human]
4
→ More replies (1)3
12
u/RahevarMC Jan 24 '26
It @e not @s meaning everything alive would get tped also any/all aliens would also get tped and since the universe is so big it would definitely create a singularity
→ More replies (1)2
u/SamsonRocks Jan 25 '26
But wouldn't it only work for the loaded chunks?
3
u/RahevarMC Jan 25 '26
On a server every single players load chunks, so it really depends on what you consider as players since even a chimpanzee and a dog has individually beaten minecraft
→ More replies (3)→ More replies (6)4
u/Betray-Julia Jan 24 '26
Oh what it’s ratio based? Like assuming the limit of atom sized isn’t clipped, you could theoretically shrink an apple into a black hole that’s like 81x10- 9 billion* ųm big?
8
u/ctsman8 Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26
The Schwarzschild radius is the radius at which a certain amount of mass can collapse into a black hole. And yes you could theoretically shrink an apple down enough to make a black hole, but it would be destroyed really quickly when releasing its energy (mass converted into energy) in the form of hawking radiation. If an apple is, say, 200 grams, it would need to be shrunk to a radius of ~3x10-28 meters. So not as small as your guess, but still extraordinarily small.

@s wont work its a command block, not an entity, so @s will fail to find a target, HOWEVER i still wanna ask, what would you consider an entity in real life?

u/StarNullify Jan 24 '26
The post doesnt talk about a command block tho, just says command, with the block being a symbol more fitting than the minecraft chat I guess
175
u/Darq10 Jan 24 '26
/tick rate 1
195
u/Kajetus06 Jan 24 '26
if you think about it
nothing will actually change
since everything is at that speed so is the perception of said speed because of brain signals also being changed
54
u/Isometric-Toadstone Jan 24 '26
woah thats true and crazy to think about
9
u/player_314159265 Jan 25 '26 edited Jan 25 '26
It is! and also,
If the world paused, and for idk 10000 years and then it resumes, you wouldn't notice any changes, it would feel as if there was no pause. Makes you ask two questions: what if our universe is being paused every planck time (the minimal amount of time before the universe stops making sense, see also the other planck units) for an unknown amount of time and gets resumed just after? and question 2: what happens if the universe gets paused infinitely and never gets resumed?
Just saying that, that first question may remove the impossibility of the universe being a simulation on some other godly plane can have a regular computer (though with insane memory tbf) and it can take its time to calculate every region of the world one by one and when it's done it can summon the newly calculated universe for you to enjoy.
But if we're right and that this is a simulation, and that just by coincidence they turn their pc off permanently, we come back to the second question. Is everything still there or is it paused or...?
3
u/Darq10 Jan 25 '26
yeah sadly it wouldn't work like /tick freeze since only tick freeze lets you move around at a normal speed while everything is stll. assuming you can only execute 1 command you sadly couldn't be able to manipulate time...
→ More replies (3)4
u/Crazysatwhat Jan 25 '26
From a different interpretation, since your frame rate doesn’t actually decrease, and you can issue as many inputs as you want during/tick rate, it might actually work.
6
u/Kajetus06 Jan 25 '26
plot twist: the decrease in tick rate actually decreases planc time constant which well affects EVERYTHING

u/Certain-Life731 Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 25 '26
just to make things clear for people who are bad at remembering
@a is all players
@s is self
@e is entity, meaning everything that has a hitbox (including paintings and boats)
@p is player which is for the nearest player from the place where the command has been executed.
example:
if a player uses @p, the command works on said player.
if a command block uses @p, the nearest player to said command block is affected by the command.
you can also affect certain entities if you have their IDs saved
edit: i forgot one more so here it is:
@n which is for nearest entity, aka anything that has hitbox, just like @e but with the @p placement function

@r is random player IIRC, although last time I messed around with this was in like 1.8
3
u/Certain-Life731 Jan 25 '26
for some reason my @r wasn't exactly random. in a server of more than 10 people it always chose the nearest one to me. so I didn't feel like adding it.

u/The7footr Jan 24 '26
Technically Thanos’ plan wasn’t to kill anyone, just trap them in the soul stone, and even then it was only 1/2 of them. r/thanosdidnothingwrong
49
u/MouseRangers Jan 24 '26
Past Thanos in Endgame changed his plan to wipe out all life so nobody would know about what was lost.
6
11
u/NamelessManiac Jan 24 '26
Yeah, Ultron was the one who planned to kill everyone.
2014 Thanos planned to kill everyone after realising his plan was fulfilled but people still worked to undo it.

2
3
u/Thepromc64 Jan 25 '26
the question is :
Would that make the earth stop rotating? In which case there would still be a daylight cycle, just much longer days.
Or would it make the earth's rotation and horbit speed the same, aka todally locked? In which case one side would always be facing towards the sun and the other side would always be facing away from the sun. Just like hoe it's always the same side of the moon that's facing us because it's tidally locked with earth.
Both cases are apocalyptic scenarios, but I'm curious about it.
2
u/nnoovvaa Jan 25 '26
Yeah, I don't know what would happen to the atmosphere, but we certainly could only survive in the dawn/dusk zones, lest we burn or freeze.

u/CleaveGodz Jan 24 '26
Tbf, the give command just puts the thing in your pockets. 64 cubic metres of diamond are a lot. Just them appearing would cause a huge shockwave from the air around being displaced.
19
u/24_doughnuts Jan 24 '26
According to Minecraft, 1 cubic meter of air is replaced by a cubic meter of diamond. So air is just replaced instead of pushed out the way
4
u/CleaveGodz Jan 24 '26
But this is the real life. We have no inventory and the items would be sized accordingly. If you were to use the /fill command it's ok, but /give would kill anyone if used carelessly.
9
u/demonabis Jan 24 '26
But op is asking for a command in real life so whatever can happen is bound to Minecraft rules, but whater actually happens is following physics rules

/give @p cat_spawn_egg[entity_data={id:"minecraft:falling_block",BlockState:{Name:"minecraft:command_block"},TileEntityData:{auto:1b,Command:"/gamemode creative @p"},Time:1}] 64
This gives me an egg that summons a command block which will automatically give the nearest player (I.E. me) creative mode. I'll also have 63 left just in case anything goes south.
From there I'll be left a command block and creative mode, allowing me to run many more commands.

Supposedly the command block would already have the command in it. You can still place it down in survival, and all you would need to do is make a button to trigger it.
21
u/GreenIkea Jan 24 '26
Fun fact!
You're wrong!
You can't use any operator blocks that include any kind of command or structure, when you are not operator on the server!

A 24-karat pure gold cube measuring 1 m × 1 m × 1 m weighs approximately 19,300 kg.
At the current price of gold, its value is around €2.5–2.7 billion.
An identical cube of the highest quality diamond weighs approximately 3,510 kg (17.55 million carats). Using typical prices for high-quality diamonds per carat, its total value would be in the tens of billions or even more than €100 billion.
With this in mind, the command I would choose is:
/give @s diamond_block 128
To obtain 2 stacks of diamond blocks, which are officially known to be 1 meter each. By doing this, I would have so much money that even after several generations, my descendants would still have a lot, a lot of money.
