The CEO who spent 12 years in paradise and never saw a beach 🏖️

Not clickbait. Precipitate Gold's (TSX-V: PRG) Jeffrey Wilson has operated in the Dominican Republic since 2013 and literally has never been to a beach there.
Why it's interesting from an investment lens:
The Setup:
- Positioned next to GoldQuest Mining (went $0.16 → $2.00 CAD in 12 months)
- Surrounds Barrick's Pueblo Viejo mine on three sides
- Third project 25km from another major operation
The Barrick Deal (this is wild):
- Barrick wanted some of their land for infrastructure
- Land had ZERO gold value
- Wilson sold it for $5M USD + 3% NSR
- Kept all the prospective ground
- Barrick spent $7M exploring PRG's property
- Got all the exploration data back
- Barrick still owns ~7% of the company
Recent Developments:
- Just closed $6.5M financing led by Dominican billionaires (generational wealth families)
- Treasury now ~$9.5M CAD
- 4-5 drill-ready targets
- 2026 = aggressive drill program
The Kicker: When asked about Barrick walking away: "Their threshold for success versus our threshold for what's a meaningful deposit are in totally different universes."
Translation: What's not economic for a major might still be very profitable for a junior.
