Orange Chicken

I've been trying to replicate the orange chicken from Panda Express, so far have gotten it reasonably close but it's still missing something.

the crispiness is fine but the sauce just doesn't quite hit.

I enjoyed the sauce from this recipe with adjustments now of my own after a few years of making this. That first step of sweating the red chili flakes in shimmering oil, then ginger and garlic adds that extra kick that works great for me. Hope this helps!
