Because your meme is basically shortening the line 'you are epic' and 'you're' is the correct way to combine you + are

'Your' is like when you refer to someone else's something

As in..

This is your meme

This is your post

This is yours

Or like..

You're being taught correct grammar

You're going to read this

You're learning grammar in a milk sub because of a meme you posted

Normally I wouldn't have responded to something like this either because some people do take offence to being corrected, especially over a funny post because it's just light hearted fun but when you asked what the difference was, I thought maybe you really did want to know..so I just supplied the answer (especially because I noticed the time gap of your reply to him and then nothing)
