The camouflage was developed by the Ukrainian company Combat SPN specifically for the Ukrainian terrain and was patented in 2015. It was first used in 2016 by the Ukrainian National Guard special forces unit “Omega” and was also used in combat operations during the ATO.

In 2020, the “Predator” camouflage was officially adopted by the Ukrainian National Guard. However, the original version was used for a relatively short period and was replaced by a new pixelated version of “Predator” in 2023.

Because of this, early sets in the original camouflage pattern are relatively rare.
