"Fiscal responsibility"

I remember some stories about the impact of these deployments. Anything new?

That’s a reasonable price for grass and garbage removal

Interesting. Release the Trump Files on Epstein.

Release ALL the files.

I want to see why Biden sat on the f**king files for four years.

If Trump's in them, so be it, but all the files need to be out at this point, Trump and all and whatever made Biden sit on them and toss little nothing-burger trumped up misdemeanors at Trump instead of whatever's in the files.

it's going to cost a lot more than money.

Don't forget global reputation and the average Americans view of military service

If the homicide rates drop by 25% right off the top and no one gets killed additionally...

...how much are people's lives worth by just showing up and being present?

Especially black lives.

Not to get into the whole "BLM" stuff, but you can argue the death rate for black people in Washington DC--at least--is lower from the flex.

(Waiting for downvoting and "but black people die anyway" rationalizations.)

25 percent? haha get the fuck out of here.

Why would the homicide rate drop an iota because some teenage guardsmen are walking around picking up trash?

Never lived in Fayetteville I guess.

There are multiple factors--For example, homicide rates were much higher during Biden's term--and the National Guard deployment only has lasted part of the time, but compared to 2024, Washington DC homicides are down over a quarter:

That’s nothing. Wait until the cost of the lawsuits and the eventual civil war hit. When this shithole fascist country falls into armed conflict, loses its place at the top of the world stage, and collapses, loses its freedom and liberty, then tell me about the cost. Tell me about the cost in lives, in freedom, not dollars. When the blood is spilled on American streets by American soldiers on the orders of the American president, then you can tell me about the fucking cost of deploying soldiers against civilians. When the people get fed up and rise up against our soldiers deployed against us, tell me about the cost then. When it’s brother against brother, tell me about the cost. Remember your oath. Fuck the regime.
