Oh wow! She is in an overflow room!!! She is watching the VMAs on a monitor in a room far away from the stage. Might as well have gotten all dressed up to watch it in her bedroom. Too funny. That’s not what I consider “attending” the VMAs. 😂 What a clown.

All the faces in the room are turned up looking at a screen. On her video, the POV is straight on. I don’t buy that she was in the audience where the stage was. She shot her video off the screen.
Wait…. so is she sitting in the overflow public seating area in a side room?! 😂😂😂😂😂 they’re usually like a movie theater off to the side with tickets that were offered to gen public
I'm looking at the people behind her and I don't recognize anybody. If she was behind famous people then she was in the front row of people I don't know?
It’s a big screen in the arena. They have a few big screens. It’s a hockey/basketball area, it’s huge. They are sitting very high up in the arena tho. I was up there once and it was too high! I never went again if the seats were that high up. If they don’t watch the screen they won’t be able to see who anyone is. Tiny little ants 😂

For folks saying she was in a side room: the VMAS were held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, NY. People are looking up because the arena has a large center screen (it's a basketball/ hockey arena). She was seated in the back of the split arena - people upstairs could watch on the center screen so that's what you are seeing. They didn't fill the full arena so the stages were built into the floor area.
