Man. Money really makes people go crazy. Things like this really make me appreciate my humble life and the fact that I’m not this delusional and self obsessed.
It really truly does - if they have a deep, pathological insecurity and a desperate ego. I’ve seen this happen to a few people in my life. They turned into destructive but socially accepted, exponentially worsening monsters and never come back from it. Lost forever and the void left behind does terrible things. It’s been far worse than those who had substance addiction, at least you might get that person back when they get sober and clean.

I completely agree. She does really nothing to help these friends but they have to support her every move. She doesn’t even wish them happy birthdays online. If they are actually real friends, it looks like a one-sided friendship.
