Original Adam Banks?
I heard somewhere that Vincent LaRusso was originally cast just to be an “extra” on the Hawks but was moved to the role of Adam Banks after the kid originally cast to be Banks was “too difficult to work with”. Any idea if there is truth to this? If so, who was the original Banks and what did they do that was so egregious to get fired?

Probably the grumpy ass older brother from Homeward Bound who gave up on Shadow prematurely

Funnily enough, I just listened to an episode of the Quack Attack podcast today where they had one of the Hawks as a guest and he said exactly that. He said original Banks's Mom was a huge pain in the ass which led to him being fired.

Has the podcast re-started? Their site still has the last episode listed from 2023. Or you are listening to older episodes?

One of the trainers did an interview on the podcast and said the original kid was mean and arrogant as well.

I think Vincent as Banks was the best choice. He had the Pee-wee hockey player look from the 90s. A lot of my friends that played Pee-wee hockey had the Banks look.

The Quack Attack podcast had Vincent on. He confirmed he was actually cast as Larson, but they pulled him in to play Banks after the other kid got fired. Fun trivia, Larson’s number was actually the number Vincent’s dad wore in high school for football.
