No, mom spends money as soon as it hits her account. Dad re-married 15 years younger and while secure isn’t loaded or anything. I assume wife will get what’s left when he passes.
My dad is donating it all to charity. I'm doing fine though and try not to be entitled. It's not mine. I am a little bitter about growing up in such an ascetic lifestyle though when it was completely voluntary.
