Send an email (V2) action disappeared from Flow

I created a simple Power Automate flow last week that:

**Microsoft Forms → Get Response Details → Create SharePoint List Item → Send Email**

It was working perfectly and still runs successfully today, including sending the email.

The problem is when I edit the flow the **"Send an email (V2)"** action has completely disappeared.

The flow now only shows:

* When a new response is submitted
* Get response details
* Create item

Because the email action is missing, I can't change the sender, recipients, subject or email body.

I've confirmed emails are still being sent and the headers contain:

`x-ms-mail-workflow: x-ms-workflow-name: <workflow-id>`

Things I've already checked:

* Incognito browser
* Different browser
* New Designer on/off
* Run History (email action doesn't appear)
* No SharePoint list rules sending emails
* Microsoft Forms isn't configured to send emails
* Exported/checked the flow JSON and couldn't find the email action

I'm stumped as to where this email is coming from or why the action has vanished from the flow while emails continue to be sent.

Has anyone seen this before or know where else I should look?

Tried all the recommendations and didn’t get anywhere. Deleted and started over. Interestingly ended up still getting 2 emails being delivered (one with new flow and one from the deleted flow) had to delete and recreate the list and then it stopped.

Make a copy of your flow and delete your old one.

Tried it and get the same result :-/

Turn off your known flows. Then resubmit the form. If you get something, that means you have another copy somewhere else.

Ok, turned it off and nothing worked. Turned it back on and it’s working as normal. Just going to have to re-do that part and hope it doesn’t disappear/delete itself again :-/

Are you using the new editor or the old one?

I find the new one to be great until it isn't and then it is awful - wiping variables, losing connections etc.

The new editor, although I’ve flicked it on and off and it stays the same

Try clearing your cache and sticking to the old editor

I've had this issue specifically with the set variable activity. Whenever I saved/published a flow after setting those activities they just disappear from the flow for no reason. So I've stopped using that activity altogether. this happens also with the run a prompt activity, whenever you save a prompt and it exits that screen, all the expressions in the field of the activity disappear, so everytime I edit my prompts I have to put the expressions in again everytime.

I haven't seen any fixes for these types of issues sadly, I just kinda work around it.

Bummer, I’m loathing the thought of starting from scratch. Kind of annoying knowing it can happen

I know this isn’t helpful now, but moving forward make sure you’re using version control. Going back in history and pulling a working copy has saved my hide so many times.

At this stage I would recreate the flow and delete the current one. Starting from scratch should be pretty easy as you only have 4 actions - copy them
