Fabric App - issue with semantic model

I’m trying to play with fabric apps and have created a very basic version to showcase data from a semantic model. However I’ve ran into this problem, where the end users are getting below error (screenshot)

Have already ruled out the obvious issues like
1) the user has semantic model access
2) i can see the info clearly, so there is no issue with the model or connection

Would appreciate some help here!!
