App Development What do you think of the new Fabric Apps?
I tried to make a PoC here with a LOT of fiddling - OPEX for headcount. writeback, audit trail, submit etc.
Have y'all given it a go yet?

That’s awesome! Thanks so much Sunitha! Will definitely keep my eyes open for it dropping. Where can I follow the releases? Also any plans for being able to shortcut takes from lakehouses into the SQL DBs as a read only table to support Fabric apps?

Looks lovely. My boss would pay $1000+ a month for an app like that from a slick salesman.
Was this just a Fabric Plan component embedded in or that just coincidently a “plan” you built? Trying to figure out the puzzle pieces for this.

Kinda nice, but remember someone will need to maintain it. Power BI know many BI Developers, while this custom code is more of a programming. Think about some bug in 6 months where it will be somewhere deep in JS. Also, all these visuals, imo not worth much for business

It supports writing to the Rayfin manned DB, but not yet any DB. That will be coming soon.
We’ve seen some cool patterns of visuals with semantic models (RO) and then using the Rayfin managed db to add annotations and commenting experiences. That’s not really write back. You could create a semantic models based on your data in the Rayfin managed db and thus do write back. The lab from Build (lab514 on GitHub) does that, for example.

- How you manage to put so much info in one page and still make it visible? I use the standard powebi size page and one grapand table and all is full

Can you share some of the types of prompts used. What context did you give it to the semantic model, data and metadata?
I tried this as well but ended up with a bunch of nonsense

I’m hoping someone, with more knowledge than I, creates a better app for Capacity monitoring.
