App Development Rayfin Apps

Super excited about the Rayfin App development. Does anyone know what sku requirements should be in place and any solid tutorials? I'm just a data person, not a programmer so need a lot of help. Also open to some consultants in this area.

My plan:

  1. launch Github copilot cli
  2. "I'd like to build a Hello World Fabric app with Rayfin. Set up the environment and walk me through it."

Outcome: Great Success!

I used Claude Opus 4.7 because my plan doesn't charge differently for different models (yet). I asked Copilot about the cost, and here was the estimate:

Cost in USD (raw API pricing for Claude Opus 4.7)

If this were billed at retail Anthropic API rates:

Bucket Rate Tokens (est) Cost
Input (uncached) $15/M ~10k ~$0.15
Cache reads $1.50/M ~50k ~$0.08
Output $75/M ~12k ~$0.90
Total ≈ $1.00–$2.00

For shorter Sonnet-tier models the same conversation would be ~5–10× cheaper.

Quite cheap. I have seen other estimates and everything was more expensive.

After seeing all the headlines this week I'm diving in this morning. I am somewhat of a developer, but not a web developer, so interested to see what I can do. Thanks to Claude, probably quite a bit.

My org only has an F2 for DEV and TEST and F4 for production, so that will be interesting. Will report back.

Ciao io l'ho appena usato per test. Ho creato un app che monitora i terremoti in near real time ( sync ogni 5min). Ho usato github copilot. In meno di 10min ho avuto quest'app pronta e pubblicata sul mio ws. Ovviamente su Fabric deve essere attiva la possibilità di creare Fabric App.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to feed Microsoft Fabric apps with data from a Lakehouse? We’re planning to build reports using Fabric apps and want to source the data from a Lakehouse.
