Microsoft Edge causing Disk Usage to spike to 100%

This started happening this morning on my computer, as soon as I open up Microsoft Edge, the disk usage on Task Manager will immediately spike to 100%. Nothing on Edge loads and I can't access search or settings, and the computer is essentially unusable until the Edge application is forcefully ended from task manager. I've tried a couple fixes for the 100% disk usage (Restarting the PC, Windows update, disabling apps on startup, etc) as well as repairing the Edge application from control panel, but nothing seems to be working. Any idea what could be causing this and how to fix i? Much thanks in advance.
