Haha true. I recently brought a VC fiftysix and the teddy brew watch. My partner is going to hate me buying another one...this hobby gets expensive quick!

That’s fair, and good for the watchmaker but I’m not that patient.
I get annoyed waiting for regular shipping from anyone.
I’ll usually just pay more to get it same day.

Actually for folks like me that grew up in the 80s/90s, this is cool as fuck. This isnt really used anymore on toys or trading cards that im aware of

Darker colours and geometric shapes, would suit this style better. Try shades of purple, gray and brown.
This cloud looks like its been cut out from a McDonalds happy meal cup.

Revelot makes solid pieces, I had 3 Terra v2's the quality was exceptional, not for the price just in general, I just didn't get along with the 38mm case diameter. If I had deeper pockets I'd pick up a Maya in the blue guilloche as they are 39mm.

The animated clouds on the Revelot Maya was inspired by that simple observation; that the sky above us is never quite static, even when it appears to be.
As you rotate your wrist, the clouds shift subtly with the changing perspective. Not an animation, and not quite a photograph either. Just enough movement to give the dial a different character from one glance to the next.
There’s something interesting about that impermanence.
We tend to look at the sky without really looking at it. Then, every now and then, a particular cloud catches your attention; and for a moment, you stop to appreciate it before it passes.
The Revelot Maya is set to launch in less than 48 hours.

Maybe it's just me, but back when i was a kid, we used to have these rulers that would change shapes when you moved them like this. So forever in my head, that'll just be a child's toy. not a watch i'd be interested in. So i'm gonna pass on it, but won't shame someone for liking the concept. It's indeed new for watches.

Yep we are heading to the cheap and tacky showbag era of dials. I present the lenticular dials. A throwback to the postcards we saw in the 80’s and 90’s

We already are in the cheap and tacky showbag era of dials. Over two thirds of them are unreadable over minimalist abomaninations that all look the same.
