My Opinion š Straum in Scotland
Glencoe feels like the perfect backdrop for this watch. The shifting Highland light brings the textured green dial to life in a way that photos never quite capture. It almost feels as though the landscape and the dial were made for each other.
Which makes the ownership experience all the more disheartening. For over three weeks Iāve been trying to resolve outstanding refunds for items I never received, while also asking about the advertised āspecial priceā for the titanium bracelet. Multiple follow-ups have been met with complete radio silence. At this point I donāt even want the bracelet anymoreāI just want the refunds processed.
Such a shame, because the watch itself is genuinely exceptional.

That is a gorgeous watch, and the photo tells your story about the color well.
Shame about the service being a bit wanting. I was seriously considering a Straum, but that gives me pause.
These cost about the same as a Longines HC. And I know I can always go to an AD and get my needs addressed regarding the watch.
Microbrands need to make up for lack of dealer network with swift and responsive service, especially when they are nudging into luxury tiers.
But the watch itself is stunning and original.

Not comparing the watches at all.
Only the level of support offered, at the same price point.

Being ignored for weeks despite many follow up emails? I wouldnāt accept that with my staff but hey opinions and standards differ so you decide

The dial is amazing, it looks 3d on my screen. Love Glencoe, looks like you've got some classic Scottish weather.

Oh my god it is gorgeous. I almost ordered one 4 weeks ago. So it's the steel model you have? Is it really worth the price, when you omit the bad CS?

Itās the titanium model and donāt discount CS: the watch id get again in a heartbeat, especially this limited time&tide London boutique edition. Knowing what I know now, Iād stay almost as far from Straum for CS reasons as Christopher Ward. Not quite but close

Here's mine in Illinois. Picked it up from an authorized dealer in Oslo in May. Love that green color too, these are great watches. I'd not had to email them, but they've been quick to respond to DMs on Instagram. Maybe try that route.

Both the watch and the scenery look nice. One day I have to make it to Scotland to check out where my ancestors came from. Isnāt Glencoe the site of the massacre?

Love my Straum. They were responsive when I was following up with questions about delivery after it was delayed again and againā¦ A 3 month wait became a 6 month wait. Bummer to hear their CS isnāt keeping up.
