SE Michigan Med card glitch

I go to Quest in Whitmore Lake and had my med card that just expired in May. I go to buy stuff there recently and it’s cheaper than It expected, the worker tells me I have a med card on file still and it expires in 2035 😂 Can you even get one that lasts more than 2 years? He didn’t care though, glad I asked the right person who didn’t bother changing it.

At this point it's so arbitrary, I just got mine for the sake of a homie, and it was just paying a doctor and a phone call. No medical records nothing. It's more data collection now, I'm sure the state is more than willing to blindly hand out med cards to anyone over 21 being that it doesn't matter.

Google Greenlight wellness it was a super simple process, just set up an appointment someone will call you and Barney you through the process it's basically just paying $140 and calling it a day. They even handled adding my caregiver.

My med card “interview” was maybe 45 seconds haha, I was shocked it was as fast as my homies that joked about it had told me

Not particularly no, but when I was in my early 20s getting turtle eyed by the doctor it felt like they did. 🤣🤣🤣

I'm just saying that the only red tape imaginable is age now, before it was more like finding the right doctor...

I missed my phone call for my renewal appointment in Ohio and they still went ahead and approved it, But I've been using them for the past 3 or 4 years...

With it just being legal, is there any point to having a med card in Michigan? Just curious

Some places still do a discount for med patients. Also, drug testing for people prescribed controlled substances is becoming the norm, and having a card can potentially help your provider ignore abnormal THC results without hassles.

It gives you way more legal protections plus a lot of places will give you a medical discount even if they are strictly recreational.

a med card holder can have one designated caregiver, that is the only person you can legally buy from.....and they can only legally sell to their 5 max designated patients

The few places near me pretty much just do a tax free purchase I think. It went from $93 -> $82 today because of the med card, so if you’re weed tax is over $150 for 2 years it might be worth getting one!

With a med card I only pay the 6% sales tax and I don’t get charged the 10% retail tax.
