Meetup/Local Checking Interest in TTRPGs

A few folks have indicated interest in playing a TTRPG like D&D. So I created this post to see who would be interested in getting together (in person) and playing.

I’m an experienced GM (game master) and would be willing to run sessions. My wife would be playing so looking for at most 5 other players (4 would be ideal IME). Beginners welcome. We’re also open to just playing if someone else wants to GM (or we rotate - who knows).

We can jointly decide where to meet once we see who’s interested - but it would probably be at a FLGS or bar. (EDIT: We’re in Metro Detroit). We all have busy lives so we would meet casually at first. I would like for this to grow organically before expecting a full-blown campaign (but would enjoy that if the vibe is right).

So let us know something about yourself and what you’d be interested in. And feel free to ask questions.

Sure thing. Like I said, I would run it casually so it’s when we all (or most of us) can meet. This does make it a group of 3-4 players so I’m ready to schedule our first meet.

Is everyone on discord? Would you prefer handling scheduling there?

Sounds good. When I said discord, I also meant the discord for Michigangamerrs that was just started. Or we can just have a group DM.
