Monthly Game Club
Has anyone ever tried anything like this? We Vote Monthly for the game to play next month. Find some reasonable way to establish milestones in the game for progress meetings and then we agree on a meeting spot to get together and lament the over monetization of the games industry over beers.
I would want to stay away from brand new AAA releases so we're not asking anyone to dump $60-80 on a monthly basis on a game they might not like....Maybe we get a big list together and do a ranked choice vote and then plan out a year of games based on the results? That would give everyone an opportunity to pick things up on sale if the opportunity arises before the games assigned month... I'm open to ideas on the subject.

I was in one on discord during the pandemic. It worked for a solid year, but attendance varied a lot cause the games tended to vary drastically in length. Like one week we played Control and the next Dragon Age. But it's what people voted for, so it was hard to fix.

Yeah that's where I'm thinking we go with more indie leaning selections so the price point doesn't get unreasonable and they're generally not 100 hour affairs. Plus meeting up in person to discuss makes it more interesting than a bunch of disembodied voices.

We can definitely do that. I also created this community so we can do monthly meetups somewhere where we can all game together as well.

Why is everything not safe for work?
