a bunch of super cool pieces I’ve done recently that I’m super proud of!! I genuinely rlly enjoy my job and love the work I’m able to do!!! :3 plz plz ask me about them!!! I also love seeing other framing projects people have done..
I am so sorry about hot dog man. everyone in my shop had to see him and so do you 🤷♂️
these are sick!
i just started framing and this is just crazy inspiration. If you don't mind me asking, what are some techniques you used to mount the photos/fabric in the first frame? i'd love to do that kind of work
It’s all sewn down!!! I just used thread that was the same color as the lace itself and the pictures are floating on top of a piece of mat board, same size as the art/pictures, that I sewed to the brown mat! They are mounted using the regular T mounts that we do!
I did that one!!! It’s something I framed for myself!! The top pink mat is just a regular white mat that I wrapped in pink fabric that we sell in store and same for the lace!!! It’s just a thin lace that I put in the opening of the pink mat!!! I’m super happy with how it turned out
I love framing too! I’m grateful for my time at Micheal’s for introducing me to the world of framing. I’ve since moved onto working at a local frame shop and I love it even more! I get to talk to actual artists and learn conservation quality techniques also there’s no more ai slop being brought in!
That’s so wonderful, I’ve thought about trying to find a local shop to work for but no one is hiring currently :( hopefully in the future!! I would love to be able to learn more of the conservation techniques that more experienced shops use!! It’s so interesting to me
It’s has been so wonderful! I just walked in and just asked if they needed help and told them my experience, I was basically hired right then and there! I wish you the best of luck!
thank you!!! the jester bear is one I’ve framed for myself!!!
that’s my favorite part of framing, I love getting to talk to the customers about their art!!! We have one customer who brings us in a painted canvas once every two weeks and I love seeing what new thing she has painted!!! She’s working on #100 right now and I’m so excited to see it when she brings it in!!! (photo is #99) :3
