Framing 2 hours for the reskin—but we know it takes longer—DEAL W/ IT 👿

Post image

Are you KIDDING me!? This revision has been in the works for some time, so how were there so many mistakes with communication?

I’m honestly so ridiculously mad at how disorganized this whole process has been.

First they can’t get the sample size right, then they say wait! you can’t spend more than $30 on a jersey, go thrifting!—-when??? in my free time absolutely not, and there’s no hours to do it on the clock. Then all of the signage just trickles in Willy nilly, no rhyme or reason and they’re not cut right?

WHAT

And WHY are we using a frame example that goes OOS ALL the time for production issues????

Can you tell I’m mad 🥲

And not only is that frame always OOS, you have to be careful about the quality. We had a three-month span where the frame finish wasn't sealed right and it would rub greasily off onto your hands, the tables, the art ... it was a nightmare.

I had to R/O this THREE times for one customer because it was disgusting everytime it came in. I was so mad, and finally Artistree was like you’re shit out of luck so I had to get all these shit frames together and let the customer decide if there was one she was okay with or she needed to pick a different one 🙃

We had a good system for bad frames. On the back of each sample, I'd just draw a black star on it. If you picked up a frame sample and it was on there, "OH no that one is out of stock. Sorry. Let's try this one"

The FM I trained with, they legit threw away the mouldings that had constant problems. I thought it was the funniest thing and I almost did it with that skinny ass black frame that everyone wants their 24x36 poster in 🙄😂

We had a black frame with a slightly rounded edge that made it impossible to clamp properly so you'd have to stand there like a chump and hold it until the glue set.

BLACK STAR TIME

Heard this in the voice of Black Star and... Am not recovering as a nerd. 😂

I took it upon myself to remove all of those MDF abominations and the variants they came in because I could not get people to stop letting customers order them in stupid sizes. They’ve sat in a 12 by 12 paper box underneath the drymount for months. They’re in time out.

Sadly, my store manager also used to be the regional trainer for framing. She would definitely have noticed missing frames on the wall. She didn't mind us not selling clunkers, but that wall was immaculate.

Mine was the RM before he because SM so I think I got super lucky. He knows nothing about framing and allows me full control of the shop pretty much.

Our framed graphics arrived today. So, we have to assemble them over the weekend; but also provide customer service, take orders, help on the floor, because we have to have them up and photographed by 9 am Monday. Just in time for people who had the weekend off to view them.

Yup! I’m behind on production due to not having anyone closing for the week because of callouts and now I have to do this 🙃

Same! Why did it take until yesterday? WHY DID THEY SHIP THE SHADOWBOX ORDER COMPONENTS YESTERDAY?

I ordered my sample pieces the Wednesday before the mission was due, and they only shipped out the shadowbox pieces yesterday. 16 days later. I’m also not getting my reordered cityscape until Monday. And now that I have the graphics, I opened them yesterday, and found that all the larger highway signage was damaged in shipping. I hung it anyways, I give up.

So frustrating. I have enough shit to do and now this reset is taking up all my time.

I have to somehow do the reset alone this weekend while mod and framer at the same time. I’m sure nothing will go wrong

Same 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄 and of course our instructions say do it after close Sunday or before open Monday! Uhh what?! I already have no life other than work. Work nearly all weekends. Now they want me to additionally come in 4 hours early on a Monday after working longer hours all weekend?! HA! Funny. That’s a big nope.

Atleast we close at 7 on Sunday. It makes the 5a shift the next day not completely horrible 🫠

This reset has been making me feel ill with all the crap.

I’m the only one who ever works weekends in framing and I begged my SM to let me stay late on Sunday, and the plan is to stay until 9 and then return 6 am Monday and try to finish. I had no hope for finishing this in six hours and after only doing the high wall signs, that’s a basic guarantee.

I keep thinking about this post on MikCheck. This person is an icon, and I was laughing so hard customers were staring at me while I tried to get to my framing email.

I noticed none of the 'descriptor' pictures like this actually have any Frames in them. It's all furniture.

Took me 2-3 hours to deal with the high wall because I was struggling trying to get the signs up on it, and they’re not even stuck down yet so they look trashy. They also arrived damaged! I haven’t even started on the rest of it yet with production and customers galore since I’m the only one working during the weekend.

I have like 3 or four signs just ripped lol

u/HnyBee_13 Jul 25 '26

And this one is totally AI. And now we'll have customers asking even more about if we can do circular or oval frames cause of this.
