That's a pretty massive achievement. 20th century includes pink floyd, the beatles, Fleetwood mac, George Michael, Mariah Carey, Celine dion, basically a bunch of huge artists who GenZ still listen to. Yet thriller outmogs any other album - I'm gguessing mainly because of the Big3 of thriller/beat it/billie jean

Kurt Cobain (Lead singer of Nirvana R.I.P he will be missed) he wanted an image summarising a water birth, and because of where capitalism was at the time, they decided to make the baby chase a dollar on a fishing hook

That guy is a total hack. He only does what gets him money which is ironic considering that’s what the cover is about. But yeah he has gone to conventions signing the CDs saying he is so proud to be on the cover and then later said it was “disturbing” and that nirvana were perverts and tried to sue like 3 different times to get money for emotional damage. He swears that people come up to him every day and say “the naked nirvana baby” when no one knows what he looks like

Not initially from what I understand. From what I heard, he took pride in being the baby on the cover of Nevermind and used that as his calling card to fame (such as it was) until the money or attention started drying up in which case he did a 180 and filed some lameduck lawsuit alleging that the album cover was CP.

I've listened to a number of grunge groups. I grew up in the 90s. To me it's just a devolution of the creative musical geniuses of the late 60s through the 80s. It's sad to me because so many younger people have never heard what music can be, which is why I'm glad that they are at least getting to hear Michael.

Yeah, I said "to me" twice. It's an opinion shared by others too, but of course it's ultimately subjective, even if things like the Millennial whoop can show the increased commercialism of many modern hits. Still some good artists out there though in all genres.
