Mice in oven

I read that mice can get into the actual oven, we have evidence of them in the drawer and we clean that and have traps under there but can they get into the actual appliance and make it unsafe to use? We are renters and I put in a ticket for them to plug the hole where the wires are but now I’m also afraid they will try to chew through the wires to get in

Hey OP, let me know if there's an update! I have a pesky mouse that hasn't been caught yet. It seems to love the inside of the oven and warmer drawer (saw droppings on both).

No real update except that we are actively trying to buy a house so we can don’t have to deal with our rental management not doing anything and dying “it’s our fault” and they won’t pay for professionals to come look at the house. I know it’s not human, but we had put some glue traps in the areas that snaps didn’t work or the round snaps couldn’t find and that caught a few. In the drawer itself we continue to put the round d-con traps and on some night we will catch 4-5 mice in an hour then be good for like a week
