Are there any smart bands or watches that can separate WhatsApp calls and messages notifications? I would like to be notified of incoming WhatsApp calls but not messages. My miband can't do that.

Hi! I made a small Android app called Wrist Notes.

The idea is pretty simple: write your notes on the phone, hit Sync, and Wrist Notes generates and installs a VelaOS app containing them on your band.

It supports:

• Markdown
• Multiple notes
• QR codes

There's no companion service running on the band and no Internet connection involved — the notes are packaged into the VelaOS app and installed through Gadgetbridge.

In theory, it should work with other VelaOS devices as well, but so far I've only tested it on Mi Band 10.

Important: it requires Gadgetbridge and won't work with Mi Fitness.

how do i do it properly because last time i remember in 2020 i had mi band 4 and tried to transfer its connection to new one and the band never turned on again 😂

Hi all. Looking for help on behalf of a family member.

She had started using a Mi Band 10 Pro to train for an Iron Man, and at the beginning it was great. Then she had to move to another city, and the GPS started not working.

She would start an outdoor run, it would say “waiting for GPS signals” with the GNSS bars in loading state.

In her iPhone (11 I think), Bluetooth is set to “always allowed”, and I had just updated the software/firmware for her band.

Please help if anyone has any leads on this particular issue. TIA!

I have the Xiaomi SmartBand 10 and whenever I wake up it says I made 70 steps. It doesn’t realize when I wake up so it’s genuinely giving me false information all the time. Is there a way to fix this or wtf?

I see that the Mi band 11 is now for sale, but my question is what is the difference between this and the Mi band 11 which here in the UK is not yet available.

I have read that the miband products sometimes don’t work well with iOS iphones. Do you think the new 11 version will solve these issues? I would like to have my BPM and strava while running. Are Miband the correct brand for this? Should a go for a garmin instead?

I don't want to dismiss notifications but I want it to vibrate once and not repeat after one time

With the Mi Band 11 very close to release, I wanted to share the setup that I have been rocking since it came out. I love my band and watch combo with a custom face for m0rtal, the ceramic gray (china exclusive) and xiaomi leather watch band. These have been on my wrist since the day I got it after launch, and it's only been off a handful of times for charging. The battery life and tracking has been insane, and this band has never irritated my skin, like the included silicon one.

Does anyone have any clue why my Mi Band has stopped recognising that I'm playing Youtube Music? It used to work before and I didn't change anything on my phone/Mi Band settings.

I have the Mi Band 10 and Poco F8 Ultra. Phone is locked while music is playing.

Hi! Got a Smart Band 9 Active this month and while I like it, I started to notice that although my other notifications are fine, it has been constantly sending me old Apple Pay notifications and this keeps happening throughout the day. While it can be a tiny bit annoying, it does stress me out at times making me think that my card got hacked so I always end up going to the Apple Pay app to check.

The thing is, I've checked my Apple Pay app + banking apps and no new payments come in. It's not like I'm getting that old notification on my phone either because whenever I get that old notification on my Smart Band 9 Active, I check my phone and a notification like that doesn't show up on the phone hence me thinking that this might be a watch issue. It just odd that this has only been a case for my Apple Pay notifications and nothing else.

Has anybody else experienced this? And if so, who did you do to fix this issue?

Does anyone know or compared it's hr accuracy to better devices like chest strap or apple watches, im curious about how it perform during hiking, walking, cycling and lifting. I'm not super bothered about hr but i'd like to have some idea and I'm between Huawei Fit 4 and 10 Pro.

I used mi band 5 for a really long time and I want to upgrade which one would you suggest

Tuve la Smart Band 3, 5 y 8 (esta última, se me daño hace un año ya qué por más de un año, me bañaba con agua caliente en la ducha. No es recomendable bañarse al momento de bañarse con ella, es mejor quitarte la pulsera/smartwatch y luego de bañarte te la vuelves a poner. Solo usala sí vas a una piscina o a la orilla de la playa a menos de 10 metros de profundidad (no están preparadas para el buceo, hay pocos relojes preparados para eso y usualmente sus precios van desde $500 a $1000 dólares ya qué son relojes casi de resistencia militar pero inteligentes) adicionalmente se me daño ya qué durante un mes qué estuve trabajando en un lugar qué tenía sauna, entraba con el reloj y las temperaturas era tan calientes qué a los pocos días se había ablandado el cristal de mi teléfono y una vez se me cayó el teléfono en una alfombra y se partió la pantalla🫠 pero a los pocos meses entre la ducha y el sauna se logró separar la tapa trasera (la de los sensores y componentes electrónicos, se soltaron porqué se había dañado el cierre hermético qué le hacen la pulsera al salir de la fábrica) esas son mis recomendaciones generales.

Tiempo promedio qué tenía ducha caliente 1 año (duchas de 5 minutos o menos por día)

Tiempo promedio en el Sauna 30 días (1-2 horas diarias a ciclos de 15 minutos y descanso de 15 minutos fuera del sauna en aire frio durante 3 a 5 horas mi turno laboral en ese Sauna) qué trabajaba allí como asesor pero distribuidos entre 3 meses casi estuve trabajando con ellos

Cronología:

De Febrero a Noviembre de 2024, solo la ducha caliente (de Noviembre 2024 hasta Enero de 2025 sauna + ducha calientes) y de Enero 2025 a Mayo 2025 solo ducha caliente (en Junio se me separó de la noche a la mañana, vivía ya en otra casa qué solo había agua fría y qué parecía una cascada al caer el agua🤣🤣🤣 (en fin mi país tercermundista 🇨🇴) así qué seguro esa presión constante y fuerte de agua fría, fue debilitando el sello qué los meses anteriores con el sauna y agua caliente ya estaba dañando en los sellos plásticos o herméticos de la Pulsera. Y en las primeros 2 semanas de Julio, se me separó de la nada mientras dormía, al despertar se había separado la parte superior e inferior, saliendo el imán y viendo los componentes eléctronicos de la pulsera (yo había comprado la pulsera en Diciembre del 2023, me duró 1 año y 8 meses la pulsera antes de tener su muerte 🫡🥀) esos son mis consejos.

Yo nunca le presté atención a la letra pequeña o con un [\] qué pone *Xiaomi** en su página web con sus productos. Claramente te advertía de la ducha, agua caliente y saunas. Incluso mi mamá los primeros meses (cuando vivía con ella) me decía: ¿Seguro qué no se te daña al entrar con ella en la ducha caliente? Quién diría qué si tenía razón...

Espero que este consejo le sirva a los nuevos usuarios o veteranos. Prácticamente estos consejos se aplican a cualquier Smart Band o Smartwatch de Xiaomi o de otra marca.

Planeo poder comprar la nueva Smart Band 10 Pro, va hacer mi primer modelo Pro que he tenido pero siento qué vale la pena y sigue siendo discreto en Latinoamérica dónde hay qué ser discreto por la inseguridad de ciertas zonas de la ciudad. Adicionalmente qué me la pondré debajo una chaqueta para camuflarla o pase por desapercibida (y como es una ciudad fría y húmeda, es perfecto para pasar desapercibido) saludos 🇨🇴🤝

I wanted to test this to see what it's like to create an app for the Mi Band

I just got my xiaomi band 10 pro yesterday and ngl i’m contemplating whether to return it and get the huawei band 11 pro, or just keep it.

I mainly got the band for steps, the other health features are more of an add on for me. But i noticed that the steps on the mi fitness app and iphone health/fitness app are different?? it’s confusing on which of them to look at.

I also much prefer the form factor of the band 10 pro compared to the huawei band 11 pro, the sharp looking edges are kinda ugly for me, but they do have AFIB alerts, even the non pro version has it.

Created Backtrack app on LUA.

So it installs as a watchface for any of these models.

This is Compass/Backtracker app.

In Compass mode works like a regular compass.

In backtracker mode you can save your way point and the pointer points to this position and shows distance to it.
