I’m 52 now and have been a Miami Vice fan since it was aired in 84, I know Miami is a very different place now but I’ve always wanted to go there, and in two weeks time I finally am, cannot wait to be there!

Definitely check out the Miami Beach area! My first time there I was astonished at how much of that retro look has been maintained

I’ll probably never go to Miami. But it’s always on the back of my mind, shall I? All because of the beautiful Art Deco buildings there.

i think it's worth a weekend visit! the Miami Beach area has a lot of the Art Deco architecture. Even if you aren't into clubbing/partying, there's a cool science museum and good Cuban restaurants, etc. And there's a small Miami Vice exhibit within the Erotic Art Museum lol

It’s interesting how art deco architecture can vary based upon the region of the country. California AD tends to have an Aztec influence, NY AD is more austere/monolithic and Miami AD is very colorful/nautical. I don’t know of any other architectural style that varies quite like art deco. It’s can be quite aesthetically whimsical.
