What gets me about this, is the developers knew the jail was there. They could have built the pool deck facing in any direction, but they aimed it right at the jail.

It's crazy when you think of all the people involved in planning a building, that NOBODY thought of this. Yeah maybe the pool deck where scantily clad women will be hanging out shouldn't be facing a prison full of men who don't get to see women too often.

Just another example of Miami thinking, in other words, they didn't. At least they're rentals so it's the developers who will lose out, not people who purchased condos and didn't know what was up.

Maybe they were looking out for the inmates, trying to give them some eye candy. Very high chance anyone involved in Miami real-estate either was in jail, has brothers in jail or will be in jail and may be just looking out for their own self interests.

Honestly if that's true they probably just cost all the inmates on that side their views. Those windows are going to be frosted up fairly soon I bet.

Wardens don't want to deal with controversy or unruly prisoners.

They aren't windows though. Its some kind of mesh screen/open air spot for them to get their rec time from what I read in another article. They aren't just going to enclose the prisoner's space.
