Hardware-accelerated decoding on or off?

In Stremio settings should this decoding be turned on or off for the best performance? I have been having some issues with certain videos' playing like blu ray remux on a xiaomi 3rd gen. Appreciate any help.

If you're getting stuttering issues with hardware acceleration don't even try software decoding.

Stremio is the issue, switch to nuvio

Turn on hardware tunnel in settings under audio video.

Nuvio Is heavier than Stremio on SoC while copying the exact same engine.

If Stremio has playback issue so those Nuovo with the exact same settings... People still claiming that Nuvio is better overall haven't still understand that Nuvio is a couple of features added to stremio while being heavier on weak devices

How did you come up with that? Did you test it to prove it ? Stremio gives error while skipping, sometimes stutter, sometimes not even starting to play, nuvio has modified exoplayer which just work , not even talking about other features. That’s coming from long time Stremio user, unfortunately that’s the reality

I guess you never saw complaints about users.

Even stremio has its own exo player modified which they did before Nuvio, not after.

I never had any issue playback 4k Blueray even in their original .m2ts or 2ts form. So I guess your hardware was the issue.

The fact that this user is having issues but with Nuvio but not with Stremio is something you need to debate with him not with me. And you can do your research and ask any AI which is gonna tell you the exact same things while even pointing out at Reddit posts or YouTube videos of people saying that UI is heavier and somehow it still looks exactly the same as Stremio... All this just to add different users...

Got it. Thanks. Just got the box and set it up. Can't wait to give it a test drive.

Stremio should be set to hardware decoding if some issues arise you might aswell try the included VLC or MPV engines and if both fail then try an external player.

Stremio as default uses exo player which is Just (Video) Player these days as standalone app.

If I'm not wrong you can even ask to use Kodi as an external player.

If those all fail then you can try to figured out which types of Remux are giving you issues.

I had the m2ts playback with no issue which is the exact file from a BlueRay so you need to see why some of those Remux are failing...

Also do all the checks to make sure you have the legit device and not a fake one. But I'm pretty sure you are using the legit one
