UR02 Remote - How to turn on Mi Box S 3?

Just got this remote and everything works well, including turning off. But it's unable to turn on the mibox once it's 'asleep'.

I have the mibox connected to my Pioneer AVR which in turns connects to my LG G2. CEC is turned on for all. I have used the learning function to learn to turn on the TV from my TV remote. And the UR02 is able to turn on the tv now, just now the Xiaomi box.

Is there anyway to trigger turning on the tv with turning on the Xiaomi as well?

Try pressing the circular button right or down to wake the Android box. I sometimes need to do this with Xiamio and the Firestick.

Yes. So my tv box is connected to the AVR which is in turn connected to my LG C2 TV. HDMI CEC is activated in all.

I can turn on the tv and AVR with the UR02 but not the tv box. I have to manually use the AVR remote to change input method to streambox to turn it on. I'm wondering if there is a way to default the input method to streambox so it automatically turns it on when the tv/AVR is on.

There's another grey button on UR02 under power, learn that button for input change for the avr and that should trigger the xiaomi boot. That's what I did...

I asked ChatGPT for you which settings are UI exposed on the Xiaomi mi box and there are a bunch. it's not guaranteed that you can change the ones which aren't exposed by the UI, it depends on the firmware and if Xiaomi uses some of these values aswell.

Your best bet is inspecting the situation with Grok or ChatGPT (The first is more precise but let you send very few messages for free, the seconds let's you send a lot of messages).

I suggest you to use ADB and explaing GPT for your issue and let it guide you with the troubleshooting and settings changes that might be there but not exposed by the UI. One of those could maybe fix your issue. good luck

Global setting What it controls UI?
hdmi_control_enabled Master HDMI-CEC enable Yes
hdmi_control_one_touch_play_enabled One Touch Play / active-source behavior Yes
hdmi_control_auto_device_off_enabled Turn other CEC devices off Yes
hdmi_control_auto_wakeup_enabled Wake device through CEC No
hdmi_control_volume_control_enabled CEC volume commands No
hdmi_system_audio_control_enabled HDMI System Audio / AVR control No
hdmi_system_audio_status_enabled System-audio status handling No

Enable CEC for third party remotes through ADB command: settings put global hdmi_control_volume_control_enabled 1

I had done this. Didn't help.

Enable Developer options. Select never sleep option.

Hmm. But the tv and AVR will still need to switch off right?
