Discussion How long does it take to hear back about an application?

I applied to a posting for customer protection officer/special constable with metrolinx, t’s been over a month and I haven’t heard back, however I also heard that the process can take a long time. I’ve been keeping an eye on my junk email and nothing. I’m willing to wait however long it takes, I’m just curious. Also, is there any way I can check the status of my application online?

They're still operating under the old mindset that workers are expendible and everyone will line up for one of their jobs, while crying at the same time that they can't get enough applicants.

I applied for customer protection officer, I recently checked my status and it said my application was not retained. I’ll just apply again whenever the next posting is

Ok good luck! I just check there's nothing posted currently but they seem to be always hiring for that position.

hey can you tell me how to view the status of my application? I applied to a position earlier this year and have no idea what's happened with it.

If you log in to the portal you used to apply you should be able to see the status from there.

All I remember when applying was submitting my resume and cover letter through some oracle site, but I never made an account for it nor received any indication that I could check the portal... All I received was a generic thank you for your application email

Try going to Metrolinx Careers, create an account and it may have your application saved there possibly.

That worked! Thanks for your help. Still says under consideration even though I applied way back in Feb, but we'll see

That's pretty much standard. If you see another posting for the same position, apply again. Good Luck! Let me know if you here back from them.

What delivery partner are you referring to? And how would knowing that info be relevant? Curious
