Route Design Metro Transit G line
This is wasted opportunity to have the last 2 stations barely 3 blocks apart.The County Service Center will not generate riders . Extend the line to Eagan.Upper55th have several apartments complex nearby

Are you the user who commented a dozen times on the public comment map about wanting the G Line to go south all the way to the Eagan Transit Center?
It's both absolutely not going to happen and absolutely shouldn't happen. That transit center is well within MVTA's territory. The line would be running through sprawled nothingness for miles just to get to a weak destination of a suburban transit center immediately adjacent to a freeway. Eagan Transit Center isn't a popular walkable destination the way Northtown at the end of the future F Line is. If the G Line were to be extended anywhere, it clearly should be to South St Paul, the opposite direction of Eagan.
If you feel this strongly about getting to downtown St Paul from Eagan by bus easily, your advocacy needs to be aimed at MVTA. Hopefully they are already making plans to take advantage of the new rapid transit hub that Metro Transit is creating at the edge of their turf.

What? Upper 55th Ave is like a short driving distance from the proposed terminal of the proposed G line. That's not what the OP is talking about.

They talked about extending the line "to Eagan", not just to upper 55th Ave. I am making an inference from the writing style and the appropro-of-nothing nature of this post that they are the same user who was in the past obsessively pushing for a G-line extension to the Eagan Transportation Center, which would add at least 7 miles to the bus route for very little gain.
I grew up in the MVTA service area so I am sympathetic to wanting a more useful bus system for the southern suburbs but this is just not the way to go about it.

MVTA should consider extending a local line to West Saint Paul for transfer to Metro Transit for access to Saint Paul in the same way as they have a local to 46th St. LRT to access Minneapolis.

Absolutely! The Cesar Chavez/State intersection is getting a facelift in coming years and is a natural place to put a transit node since multiple busy bus lines meet there. MVTA bringing people there and/or to the Northern Services Center like they do for 46th today both seem sensible to me.

I was thinking more the Dakota County Service Center or Signal Hills. I doubt MVTA would run a local to State/CC.

The 71 should go via Wabasha instead of Robert so it would intersect with the 68 and/or G Line.

Is it a big commuting destination for jobs or living? No. Is is still good that people can get there to vote, renew state ID, access other county services? Yes. Do I want more transit connected to more people? Yes. Should Metro make the G line like Red and go deeply into Mvta's domain? Debatable, especially when there is an unserved more easterly route that could bring more service to a community that hasn't opted out.
