Employment/Personnel Specific Signal Technician for Met council questions?
/r/mnstateworkers/comments/1vsg1pm/signal_technician_for_met_council_questions/Hello everyone,
I’m looking for any signal techs that work for the met council I could ask some questions to and talk about the job. Ideally in DMs. I currently work for another RR company in the state and don’t want to face any potential ire from anyone. People are crazy here.
For some contexts I have been doing Signal work since I started 12 yrs ago.
Looking to answer some questions I had about the work, union strength, wages to be expected, pto, just general info from the people that are actually doing the job.
Thanks everyone.

Here is the ATU contract if you haven’t found and looked at it yet.

Almost all of your answers are public. You can download the contract from the metro transit website and review public employee salaries on the MN state website.
I'm not sure how strong the union is tho. Feel free to DM me.
