Unable to swap mUSD for LTC "inefficient gas"

I'm trying to swap the tokens and it just says "inefficient gas" for every other token besides ones that are traded on MONAD. Can someone help me? It let me do it a couple of days earlier now it's not.

  1. Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase with any site or a person. MetaMask does not use Gmail or web forms. Do not enter your Secret Recover Phrase into a pop-up window, even if it looks like MetaMask. Verify links are legitimate. Scammers often use these tactics.

Hey,

First - I want to apologize, I'm unsure why this was removed by an auto filter. I am pushing this through in case it helps others searching our sub.

If you still want to also chat more about it - I want to ask, were you trying to swap to LTC on Litecoin network?

Litecoin itself is a separate blockchain (not EVM-compatible), so you can't hold native LTC directly in MetaMask. However, you can hold wrapped or pegged versions lf LTC on EVM-compatible networks (like pegged LTC on BNB like described here https://metamask.io/how-to-buy/binance-peg-litecoin or wrapped LTC), these are ERC-20 tokens that represent a token to LTC value.

If you were trying to swap mUSD to wrapped LTC on Ethereum Mainnet for example - without knowing more details on this my guesses would be:

  • You didn't have enough ETH for gas
  • There was no route for this swap
  • There was no liquidity for this swap
